The second hearing came soon and everyone had already given their statements and everything seemed to add up, so with confidence, Mr Davis went up to speak.

"Your Honour, I stand before the entire court today with solid evidence that proves that the defendant, Cameron Larson defiled my client Marybeth Williams. Thorough investigation was done and statements recorded and everything aligns with the evidence and proves Mr Larson here guilty, " Mr Davis said.

He started playing the recording for everyone to hear:
"So, what happened that night? " Detective Ronalds asked. "It was a lonely Friday night for me. My parents were going on a date night. It had been a while since they focused on themselves without me interrupting it so I insisted they should go without me,  " Marybeth said.

"What about your friends? " Detective Ronalds asked. "As fate would have it, I had a falling out with all of them. I've always only had two real friends, Debby and Joseph so there was no one else to call. I felt they didn't want to talk to me anymore so I didn't bother, " Marybeth said. (Debby's head sunk hearing this. She really wished she had made up with Marybeth sooner and maybe it would've been different. Joseph too blamed himself).

"So, did you invite anyone over? " Detective Ronalds asked. "No, " Marybeth said. "But according to the evidence gathered, you weren't alone at some point that night. Even before the attack, " Detective Ronalds said. "Yes, that's true. I was with Cameron but I didn't invite him over, " Marybeth said. "Then why was he there? " Detective Ronalds asked. "Some time before that, him and I had a disagreement and weren't on talking terms but that night, he called. I picked up and we talked it out. He asked me what I was doing and since I didn't see him as a threat, I told him the truth. That I was home alone for the night and was surviving on TV. Hearing that, he offered his company. I was hesitant because of the time. His place and mine are quite a distance apart and it didn't make sense for him to come all the way but he convinced me he would be there in a minute and he actually made it. Before I could even respond, the doorbell rang and he was at my door. And that's how he came about, " Marybeth said.

Pausing the recording, Mr Davis said, "Let me just say something your Honour. That point itself is suspicious. How is it that Cameron was at Marybeth's doorstep in just one minute? Marybeth herself admits that their houses are quite a distance. " "Objection your Honour, " Mr Miller said. "Allowed, " the judge said. "This proves nothing. Cameron is old enough to leave home and come back whatever time he wants and his parents consent to it. Plus, Marybeth's house is not the only place in that area, he would've been there for something else and decided to take the opportunity to see his girlfriend, " Mr Miller said.

" I beg to differ but anyway, I just said it was suspicious and judging by what happens next, you would think the reason he was there was for her all along. Anyway, I will proceed. " Mr Davis said.

The recording continued playing:
"So, what happened next? " Megan asked. "Well, like a normal couple, we cuddled while watching a movie. He then asked if we had some snacks and I said we did. So I brought the drinks first then left to get the chips and dip on a tray. I didn't suspect anything because everything seemed normal. We sat down and continued watching the movie and  munching on our snacks. Soon, I took a sip of my drink. It had a weird aftertaste, I thought it went bad but when I told Cameron, he said his was just fine. Seeing as it was the same juice from the same bottle, I figured it was just my lack of interest maybe. So I let it go and continued drinking. After some time, I started to feel weak and drowsy. My head hurt and my vision was blurry. I could barely comprehend. Noticing this, Cameron asked if I was okay. After telling him the problem, he suggested it was one of my attacks, " Marybeth said. "What attacks? " Detective Ronalds asked. "I'm narcoleptic, " Marybeth said. "Oh, okay, go on, " Detective Ronalds said. "Anyway, I disagreed saying they don't hurt this bad. I just feel dizzy and pass out in a few. Then a realisation struck me that my drink must've been spiked. That's when I saw his malicious expression as I passed out, " Marybeth said.
