What?!

"I'm sorry, that was a bit bold." Victoria says laughing it off at Lang's reaction, then she goes into deep thought "I- er... No! It's fine! I'd love to! It's just I didn't know that's how you felt about me-" "Do you want to have a double date with me" Victoria says trying to rephrase her sentence earlier and says her thoughts out loud looking as if she were checking if that made sense "Oh! Um, sorry, continue what you were saying" Victoria says realizing her rudeness "I... A double date?" Lang says dumbfounded "Yeah! Kevin and Roland will go on a date, and we'll just be their wingmen!" She says flaunting a bit about her brilliant plan "And... us?..." Lang says as his heart is about to drop hoping she wasn't going to say what he thinks she's about to say. "Oh! We'll just be pretending. Our cover story is that we're both going on a date just... Trying it out and we wanted to bring 1 of our friends for us to bring so they aren't lonely as support! But we don't say who we're bringing." Victoria says thinking sincerely about her master plan. "And in the end?" Lang says as he tries keeping his composure from looking like a wounded puppy by her words "They'll get together and acknowledge their feelings for each other!" Victoria claims "Us? And what about us I mean?" He says, his voice nearly cracking and tears welling up in his eyes. "We'll say it didn't work out... But we'll still remain as friends" she says smiling

(ouch. . . That Hurt) Lang thought.

"Alright!" Victoria claps her hands together "I'll go get Kevin, and you go get Roland since you're his personal guard!" And she runs off, turning a bit to shout "We got this!" she said running backward and gives a thumbs up then turns around again and runs properly. While Lang was just left there, recalling the same feeling after Kevin left him hanging in his dorm, but a thousand times worse.

Adam & Sofia's POV:

"I think it should beeee..." Adam says outside at a stone wall in the west tower pressing his hand firmly against the bricks till one pushes back and rumbling is heard "Here!" He says optimistically as an ominous corridor leading down is slowly appearing. Sofia looks at him smiling, closing the book that holds all the secret corridor's information and they both venture down.

"Hopefully Prince Roland is here, or else we'll run out of secret tunnels," Sofia says a bit sternly with a worried look on her face, which Adam caught on to her expression "Yeah.. but on the bright side at least we got to see the beauties of the castle, who knew Aseatha was so mysterious," He said hopefully as his hand traces the spiral stairwell as they move "You do know, personal guards or higher standings are aware of all the secret tunnels right? To them this'd just be a regular tourist part in the castle," she says still worried, one hand holding on to the rail, the other holding the book open as Sofia studies it, double tasking her vision to the steps and pages. "Why do they even have this anyway? I mean, it's cool and all but I thought only evil castles have these" He joked still trying to direct her attention to make her forget about her worries "You'd think that way wouldn't you" Sofia says suddenly starting to sound annoyed closing the book one-handedly "They create these catacombs to escape enemy sieges, maybe an annoying trick but its saved many royal bloodlines, some not so lucky" she says explaining the history "Huh. That's pretty cool-" "Would you please. Be. Quiet?!" she says loudly, losing her cool which makes Adam jump from the echo, both of them stopping in their tracks. "All you've done is talk! I don't need you distracting me!" "I'm sorry... I was trying to-" "Then STOP trying! If anything you should TRY staying quiet the whole way down!" her shouts make loud echoes which also makes the stairs rattle and then they've come to complete silence as they go down. As Sofia calms down she starts to feel a bit sympathetic to him, a bit conflicted but she still felt like she wanted to apologize "Adam, I'm sorry I lashed out on you-!?" The old stair she just landed was faulty and broke beneath her feet making her fall, and there was still a long way to go. "AAH!"

...

"Sofia are you okay?!" She opened her eyes and looked down as she hung, 50 feet above the ground "Sofia?!". Her senses came back as she could slowly hear Adam profusely calling her name, she slowly looks up to see Adam holding her up with both of his hands clinging to her arm while his legs are split between the stairs, skipping the one that broke.

"Yeah... I'm okay!" she says.
