Insomnia (Modern AU/Fluff)

You groaned, turning once again as you tried to sleep. It was two in the morning, fast approaching the soon wakeup time you needed to comply with for school.

You glared at the ceiling, tears glossing over your eyes. You clicked open your phone the photo of you and your boyfriend enough to keep you from bawling your eyes out. You clicked on the contact name that read My love❤, hesitating ad you began to type a message.

Are you awake?

Yes love. Are you okay?

I can't sleep.

Its really pissing me off.

You looked at the phone with a conflicted look on your face. You didn't want him to suffer with your insomnia, but also didn't want to ruin any chance there was of him actually coming.

You got up, grabbing a candle that smelled of Tangerine and Sage. It brought you comfort, being highly similar to his scent. You lit the wicks, before tidying up your room slightly. You were brushing through your hair, when light tapping was heard at your window.

You pulled back your curtain, revealing your adorably sweet boyfriend in his fall clothes holding two coffee cups.

You grinned, pushing up the window. "I don't think coffee is going to help my problem." You chuckled, grabbing the cups from him. He struggled to get in as he spoke.

"Its not. I got us hot chocolate from the convenience store. Hot milk, plus chocolate. Well, you know that, but my mother would always give me hot milk when I had issues sleeping and-" He nervously rambled, scratching the back of his neck. You inched closer to him, giving him a quick peck on the lips that made his knees buckle.

"I love it. Thank you. Your so caring and kind for me." Your praise made his heart speed up, his face flushing bright red as he removed his jacket. He stripped until all that remained was his black t-shirt and boxers, before grabbing his cup of hot chocolate, sitting on your bed with you.

You took another long sip of your sweet drink, before yawning. "I think it worked." You looked at him tired. He grabbed your cup, bringing it to your desk. Tanjiro blew out your candle, before returning to the bed with you.

You pulled him down, both of you falling back onto the bed. "Mmmm . . . warm." You mumbled, snuggling into his chest.

"Goodnight my love." He wrapped his arms around you, kissing the top of your head before falling into his own slumber.
