I had entered the sandstone cave and saw 3 other boys already in there
"Hello" a boy in a yellow shirt said causing the other 2 to look at me
"Hey I'm Ana" I said waving at the boys
They handed me a hat with a flash light on it
"This is Sadiq , Ami and I'm Jordon" I nodded remembering their names we made small talk before the instructor came in behind him another boy and a little blonde girl
The instructor began telling us about the green glass that was made within the caves I stood there listening to him because nobody else was ami was doing handstand Jordon and Sadiq were messing around and the other boy who I leaned was named Callum was climbing the ladder hitting Reese on the head
I grabbed Reese shoulder pulling her away from there letting her stand next to me with my arm around her shoulder
"Stop hitting Reese and stop doing handstands" the instructor said getting mad at us "cmon kids" he said making us gather "you all are the winner of a day out competition" he said trying to make us a little more grateful "every other kid is sitting in a classroom while you get to explore and meet kids from other schools and agencies" he was looking at callum for that last part
Jordon put his arm around my shoulder "I'm very glad I got to meet her" he said directing it to me I nudged his stomach with my elbow "shove off Jordon" the rest of the boys were booing at him saying he got rejected
"Excuse me but it's not safe" Reese said speaking up from besides me
"Of course it is all risk assessment done nothing going to happen to you don't worry" the instructor said reassuring her I gave her shoulder a little squeeze making her look up at me "it's alright Reese just stay by me" I said she gave me a slight nod
"Alright helmet light on" the instructor yelled we all turned it on walking behind him before Reese pulled away from me
"Can't you feel it I'm not coming" callum rolled his eyes before following everyone else
I stood by reese as the instructor came over to us helping Reese sat down the boys were messing around and being loud causing me to go over to them
"Shut up can't you see we're dealing with something here and you all won't just shut up" I said breaking them apart
Callum started walking closer to me before Sadiq stopped him "better watch who you tell shut up to" the tension was high before Ami said "where did the instructor go" we all turned to look where he was standing just 2 seconds ago
"Reese where did he go" I said walking up to her helping her up from the floor "he's gone they all are" I looked back at the boys confused "maybe he's gone back up"Jordon suggested "no he'd have to be bionic we would've saw him" Ami said
"Well I'm out then" Sadiq said "I felt it coming" Reese said holding her head callum walked by her "give it a rest" I grabbed onto her hand as Sadiq came up to us "look let's go girls"
We all walked back outside the cave to see the noisy city suddenly quiet and completely a mess with cars crashed everywhere
"Where are all the grown ups" Reese asked "They've all vanished" Ami said "don't be ridiculous Ami" I said causing Jordon to stare at me "do you got a better explanation" Sadiq turned to face us "there must be an emergency and everyone's gone to help" it did make sense but I mean wouldn't they take their cars or at least give us a heads up "no that can't be it Mrs lowman isn't allowed to leave me" Reese said looking around more
"Alright just everyone try your phones" I pulled mine out seeing there was no bars on it "nothing not even one bar" everyone else checked there and it was exactly the same
We all walked close to a sign on the floor circling around it I looked around at everybody "nah" Callum said laughing "ye" Reese said
"The end of the world" I read out loud from the sign
