"Marco, pour me another glass!" DJ slurs, holding his empty glass out. Marco looks up from his current task of setting out even more alcohol- not that any of them need it.

For the past couple of hours, we've been having another of one our usual 'parties'. Usually, every other month or so, we have a small party with just our friends and it's a nice time to talk, catch up, and just let loose. Unfortunately for me, i'm seven weeks pregnant and I can't drink like the rest of them. So while all of them are already pretty tipsy or plastered, i'm painstakingly sober.

Maggie assured me that i'd be able to have just a glass of wine and that the baby would be okay, but I didn't wanna take the risk.

I also had to pretend being sick so that they wouldn't question me not drinking. I also said that I usually drink when Carl's around since he likes to take care of me when i'm drunk so thankfully they didn't push me.

Those being who don't already know about the baby- Marco who's hosting the party, DJ, his wife Katherine, and Alden.

It's not that I don't want to tell them- I do. They're my friends. I just haven't decided if it'd be best to wait for Carl to come home yet or not. I know he'd probably appreciate it if he had the chance to tell the news to some of our friends too. I know I felt really excited when I told Tara, Maggie, Jesus, and Elijah. Oh, and Hershel of course.

Speaking of which, unfortunately for him, he was too drained from his riding lesson with Jesus early at the stables so he's upstairs fast asleep on Marco's bed.

"Here, man!" Marco cheers, dropping what he was doing and pouring more beer into DJ's cup. Instead of cans of bottles like the old world, beer and other alcohols come in large barrels that you can trade for, or in big jars that you can get in bulk. It's the same for beer, vodka, whiskey, and wine- all of which come freshly made from the Kingdom.

"Yeah, because you need more!" Katherine scoffs playfully.

"Of course, darling." He grins a cheeky grin and draped an arm over her shoulder as Marco refills his glass.

She rolls her eyes and kisses his cheek. They're cute. She really made DJ change for the better. He's come a long way from that savior who would stir up trouble on the bridge with Jed and the others. Now he's a valued part of our family and community.

"You're gonna be havin' trouble gettin' home tonight." Maggie laughs, taking a sip of her own drink. unlike the others, she's not plastered.

I'm grateful. I've been able to actually have a conversation with her tonight. Laughing at the others is fun and I enjoy being with them, but it's more fun actually having someone to talk to.

"Pft! Like i'm going home." DJ responds, causing Katherine and Marco to laugh.

"We all know this idiot's gonna end up passing out on the couch!" Marco exclaims, taking a swig.

Tara, Jesus, and the others laugh.

"You can't be laughing Tara! Not when I had to drag your sorry ass home last time. You went all loose limbed in my arms and made it impossible to carry you back!" Elijah points out accusingly.

Tara grins cheekily while the others laugh.

I use their excitement to sneak away to the table full of food and alcohol, making myself another plate. I can't help it. My appetite has completely changed and I can't stop eating. This baby really loves food for being so small. To be fair though, I end up puking half of it up anyways, so it's not like the baby gets it all.
