A few weeks had passed since Y/N had last faced off against one of the infamous Corrupted Grail Marauders, specifically, a week since he faced off against Indra. His body was still in a slow recovery state after the battle pushed him beyond his normal level of endurance, going as far as to force him to use his Flame Core near death.

This led to Y/N living a normal mundane life for a little while longer, even being forced to refrain from using his powers or his forbidden divine armor for any reason. King Artoria (Lancer) had ordered him to lay low and keep to himself while his body healed, and that was an order he had to obey for his own benefit.

He found himself walking around the streets of Camelot without many things looming over him for the day. Y/N just wanted to get out of his bed for a little while, see the sun, feel the air, all that jazz. He hadn't been able to do these things for a while, so it was a nice wake up call.

Y/N took a deep breath as he turned the corner of the main road and was immediately met with a familiar sight of Gawain talking with some of the people of the city. "Sir Gawain?" He questioned himself.

"Now, this should be enough to get your store back up and running, Miss Forsher. I hope the King's service can be of good use." The Knight of the Sun smiled down at the older woman and handed her the bag of money.

"Thank you so much, Sir Gawain!" The older woman grabbed Gawain's hand and clasped it on her own. "You're a kind man." She smiled at them.

Gawain bowed his head slightly and smiled back. "Anything to help the people of the City, Ma'am." The two of them traded farewells and parted their separate ways, with Gawain turning to see Y/N before him. "Oh—Y/N, you're up and running so soon?" He marched up to the taller man.

Y/N laughed a little and rolled his shoulders a little. "I'm honestly good enough to go back out there and fight, but King Artoria doesn't think the same." He shook his head. "Are you going around the city again? No wonder the city loves you so much." He smiles.

"Yeah, I'm taking my rounds to ensure the people of the city are well cared for with the recent attacks. The walls hold strong but everyone suffers in their own way." Gawain spoke from his heart as he said this, looking back at the massive road filled with all sorts of shops and people minding their own lives. "You have to help them anyway you can."

"I agree with you, but don't let others be the reason you lose energy. You're one man—remember how many people are willing to work with you." Y/N tried to reason with the man.

Gawain laughed at this and gently punched the man in the back. "Look who's talking—Old Y/N Caviar, the man who likes to ignore backup and fight Marauders by himself." He found this humorous.

Y/N sighed at this, eventually turning into a laugh. "To be fair, this last few times I only fought them head on because it was Indra. You know me and that bastard go all out against one another for whatever reason."

Gawain could immediately recall every time a battle involving Y/N and Indra escalated rapidly and become a danger for everyone around them. He sighed at this and nodded his head. "Fair enough, but still, occasionally waiting for backup doesn't hurt anyone you know?"

"I know, I'll try to remember that next time." Y/N nodded and looked back at the shop in front of him. "What else are you up to? Any training with Barghest like usual?"
