—Two Weeks Later, 10:35am at UA—
——Eraser Head was sitting at his desk in the front of the class 1-A room doing a bit of paperwork. His students all sat at their desks, quiet as they did independent work.
The room stayed quiet until the speaker in the room turned on.
"Mr. Aizawa, can you please report to my office?" the UA principle's voice, Nezu, asked through the speaker.
The teacher spoke loud enough for the speaker to pick up. "Sure."
The speaker cut off and went silent.
Eraser Head looked to one of his students; one with dark blue hair and glasses. "Iida—"
The class rep's attention shifted from a book on his desk to his teacher.
"—you're in charge until I or another teacher comes back."
Once Iida nodded in confirmation, Eraser Head stood up from his chair, left the room, and headed over to the UA principal's office.
——
Eraser Head walked through the halls, eventually walking up on a door. He approached it and knocked on it a couple of times.
"Come in, Aizawa." Principal Nezu's voice was slightly muffled through the door.
The erasure hero grabbed the doorknob and turned it, pushing the door inward and open, then closing it behind him as he stepped into the room. "What do you need, Nezu?" he asked before looking at him.
"Good to see you're doing well, Aizawa," a second voice spoke. Eraser Head looked to the source of the new voice, and he was met with the face of Detective Tsukauchi.
"Tsukauchi?" he questioned.
"He has a few things he wants to talk to you about," Principal Nezu explained from sitting at his desk, and as always, there was a small cup of tea in front of him.
The detective started to further explain the situation. "The police force has gotten an inside tip on where the League of Villains' hideout is and when they will next meet as a group. We've granted the informant court immunity and temporary name concealment that will last until this operation is finished."
Eraser Head slid his hands into his pockets. "And you've come to ask for my help, am I correct?"
"Would you?" the detective asked bluntly.
The erasure hero let out a heavy sigh. He'd just recovered from his last encounter with villains from the League.
"This is all up to you, Aizawa. I will give you administrative leave if you want it," Principal Nezu jumped in.
Eraser Head focused his attention on Detective Tsukauchi. "What would I do in the operation?"
"You would be there to incapacitate Puppet Master. You know her quirk, fight style, and battle tactics best. We wouldn't put you into the field unless we've located her specifically," he said. "Having you there would greatly increase our chances of being successful."
"How do you know it won't be a repeat of Kamino?" the hero inquired.
"Because All for One won't be a factor."
A fair point. Eraser Head pinched the bridge of his nose, scolding himself in advance. "Okay. I'll help."
Detective Tsukauchi nodded. "All the recruited heroes will meet at the local police station at noon tomorrow — two hours before the planned meeting time of the League. Get some rest and I'll see you there."
With that, the detective turned and left the room, leaving the teacher and the principal.
Eraser Head sat down on a couch in the office with a heavy sigh. He held his head in his hands, resting his elbows on his knees.
He groaned, rubbing his hands over his face. What am I doing?
Principal Nezu jumped down from the chair of his desk and walking over to Eraser Head. "I'm sure you'll succeed."
He hopped up next to the hero on the couch and sat down.
"And why do you think that?"
The mouse-like man reached up and tapped his employee's arm repeatedly in a comforting manner. "Because you're an excellent hero with an exceptional quirk," he answered.
That made the erasure hero feel somewhat reassured. Principal Nezu was smart — it was literally his quirk — and if he said something about someone, he was almost always right.
Eraser Head stood up. "I'm going to go sleep, then I'll head off tomorrow."
The other man gave a reassuring smile. "You'll get administrative leave and I'm sure Mic would be happy to take your place for a while."
The hero hummed in response, then he left his office to head to the teacher's dorms. He knew that the next day was going to be chaotic, and he was going to need as much sleep as possible.
———
By noon the next day, at the local police station, plenty of heroes had shown up: Eraser Head, Endeavor, Ryuku, Tiger, Mandalay, Fat Gum, Kamui Woods, Edgeshot, Gang Orca, Pixie-bob, Manual, Death-arms, and several lesser-known heroes.
Most of the heroes were looking through the profiles of the League of Villains' members, getting all the information they could on them and their quirks-anything that could help them complete the mission.
"We've brought in heroes from all over to deal with this," Detective Tsukauchi, who stood at the head of the room, projected, catching the attention of everyone in the large room.
"Let's hope it's enough," Ryuku commented.
"It'll be enough," Endeavor assured. "And I'm going to give that bird a piece of my mind."
The detective nodded. "Yes, that's another thing I need to address. We have reason to believe Hawks, whom we placed as a spy, is working with the villains and giving us false information," he explained. "The plan is to apprehend him as well."
Detective Tsukauchi cleared his throat, bringing the attention back to himself. "All League members are to be apprehended as soon as possible. We assume that the villains will put up a hard fight. In preparation for that, the area around their hideout has been evacuated to prevent civilian casualties.
"In addition, when Puppet Master is located, Eraser Head is to be informed; he needs to be the one to deal with her."Eraser Head stepped up beside the detective. "I know her fight style best, along with her weaknesses," he added.
Pixie-bob put her hand to her chin in thought. "It's the League of Villains, none of them will go down easily," she said.
Gang Orca nodded. "Yes, be ready for anything."
"We need to get moving, we don't want to miss our window of opportunity," Edgeshot insisted.
"Transportation is waiting outside," Detective Tsukauchi said, gesturing to the door. "Be careful."
With that, all the heroes left the room, preparing for what was to come.
