Keirsten stepped out the shower, drying away the heated water from her body. The steam left behind rolled off her body like the last few of the morning along the plants of the large landscape her and her husband owned. With the sun shining through the window and not a soul around, she took a few steps towards the window and overlooked the glory.

She was nearly lost in the beauty the lord had given her as his morning gift before Adam's warm arms snaked around her curvaceous waist.

"Em— feels so good" she rolled her head back and allowed him to pull her closer in.

"Smell so good" he replied while grazing his teeth along her neck still damp from the shower. "Keir— baby, you're killing daddy."

She giggled, turned to face him. His eyes traveled down to his play things and she used her finger to tip his head back up. "Still short" he teased and she rolled her heavy blue eyes.

"You will always be in-love with this body, no matter how many miscarriages I deliver."

He could hear the sadness in her voice. She had five miscarriages over the last year. After they lost her brother, his partner, they were desperate to have a little one.  "Baby— calm down, give yourself a break. A human body can only deal with so much trauma."

"Yeah... like loosing Jacob?" She tore herself from his warm hold, just as Jacob had been ripped from her with his secret cancer he failed to tell her about! Her, his only half to the world!

Adam could only shake his head. He told Jacob's coward ass not to keep it from his only twin sister. She'd already lost their parents and now she would loose him too. Adam could only change the subject when things got this rough. Last time he tried to buck, he nearly lost her.

"We, uh— had a breakthrough at work yesterday."

Keirsten only nodded. She knew the job was her husbands only child.

"That's wonderful, Adam." She shut the closet door, locking herself inside to get dressed.

As much as he wanted to start his day off with the passion they both shared every morning for the last five years, he hesitated before quietly shutting the door.

Exhaling as if he was carrying the world, he left the house but not without leaving her a note with sweet words of encouragement. He rolled into his BMW and headed out.

Damn you Jacob Batiste!
