Chapter 9
Maeve

Out of all my days, why take my happiest? I opened up the letter that sat in front of me for a good 30 minutes. I wonder who it could possibly be from I mean I totally don't gotta a clue.

If you haven't caught on yet I'm being sarcastic, of course, the envelope has to be from fucking Victoria! I think I have no better in this life. My father dead to me my mother? Literally dead.

My grandmother? A fucking nutshell, Where's the rest of the family tree? Out the conclusion, my Father would quote this as "good for me" or "There horrible people, Monsters." I always end up questioning why I was born into such a family.

What did my mother see in him?

Because I see a piece of shit!

I don't think I've hated anyone worse than this, this family makes me sick to my stomach. I know I'm maybe exaggerating but god, you don't understand.

I rip open the envelope inside I find a letter, and annoyingly enough I read the letter I could hear her high-pitched voice kinda reminded me of Kinsley.

"Maeve, I missed you dearly the house has been silent. Too silent actually I can't wait for you to... Right life has been incredible since you, you know left. I hope you don't write back xoxo Sincerely Victoria."

That fucking bitch! Is it messed up that I want to strangle her? Too much right? I crumble the letter throwing it into the small bin I had next to my desk. I gave a heavy sigh clutching my head with both hands sliding it down my hair.

I puck my lips up looking side to side.

What day Is it again? I pick my phone up turning it on. "Friday." what's Friday?
I concentrate trying to remember, I have such tiny brain cells.

Date- No a little thing.

The little hangout Me and Elias set up for... Today, I checked the time groaning I didn't realize it was almost 8! I stand from my bed heading to the bathroom to get ready.

I took another shower, you know just to stay... Fresh. Anyway, It took me 15 minutes- the other half of the time I spent was getting my hair and makeup done.

I look over at the clock again.

7:58 You've gotta be kidding me. I opened my closet door looking over at my drawer, I pulled it up taking out my white laced bra with its matching underwear. I grabbed my dress which was a black Ruched asymmetrical hem dress, and it hugged my body perfectly.

I paired it with some designer heels I snuck with me and a black Chanel purse. I looked at myself in my vanity mirror smiling, I think I stood there for a good minute admiring myself before my phone rang.

"Hello?" I said In a low tone the number didn't look familiar, so I thought it was Elias. "I've missed you." The person said in a raspy voice, it made my skin crawl. "Sorry, who is this?" I asked.

There was a brief silence before I heard them suck their teeth. "You don't remember me?" Who the fuck is this?

"I'm sorry but I don't know you- I think you got the wrong number so bye."
