The number of feelings that crashed down on Eleonora could only be described by one word. Infinity.
Fear, frustration, dread, anger, sadness, regret, rage, pain, hopelessness, despair and the list goes on. She felt overwhelmed when the voice that had caused her all her stress and problems came from the speaker.
"Silent? Is that how you greet me my Sweetheart? That is not what I deserve, don't you think?" the disturbing voice said.
Despair built inside Eleonora as she felt her chest constrain. At that moment, Eleonora really didn't know how to proceed.
"What the hell do you want from me?" Eleonora choked out. To her utter horror, her voice possessed very feeble strength.
A cold chuckle emitted from the phone. "Oh, did I scare you? I'm sorry my Sweetheart." He mocked.
Eleonora scowled. This man was enjoying this and she wasn't happy to be causing his satisfaction.
"State what you want or I'll hang up." She threatened firmly. At least, this time her voice did t quiver.
The Caller let out a full blown laugh. Unlike the laughter of other people, though, his possessed not an ounce of amusement instead filled with sick malice.
"Why, I'd like to see you try. Eleonora, don't forget the warnings I have given you. I do not tolerate disobedience. Breakers of my rules shall be punished severely." He warned with a very dark tone.
Eleonora stayed silent. It was a simple fact to her that inquiring this person was fruitless so it was just better to let him speak.
"Well, I'll take you're silence as a signal of understanding. Sadly, I can't spend much time with you today too so why don't you go ahead and check what I left behind? It's in its usual place."
Eleonora's eyes trailed to the shelf close by. 'The best of me' sat there, as if it was calling her to pick it up. After the appearance of this stalker in her life, she had abandoned reading the story, no matter how nice the book might be.
Knowing curiosity wouldn't let her avoid it, Eleonora reached out for it. Inside sat a now familiar brown envelope, tucked in between the white pages.
Breaking the seal, she dumped the contents onto the table to her right. A paper with the same color and numerous photos came out. Eleonora's stomach sank when she saw that the number of photos had increased. Sighing, she read on.
My Sweetheart,
Hello again. I have returned to you and shall continue to do so, if you should know. My presence shall be a constant company for you in your life for the years to come.
My thoughts never stray from you, do you know that? Just as you never fail to remember me, I also always think of you.
Your beauty is incomparable. From the moment I saw you, I knew that you would be perfect for my collection of gems. You shall be my prized treasure that will be honored. You are quite a lucky girl, Sweetheart.
Your fearless attitude makes you so much more appealing. I like fighters, always have. It's a quality that gets you points in my book.
That quality, though, only applies only to a certain level. At any time, at any place, you are expected to obey me with our hesitation.
I am the person you are to obey. I am the only man to touch you as I wish, when I wish. I am your leader and I am your model. I am your owner. I am your master. I am the Secret Stalker.
