While Eleonora was having a bit of trouble, to put in in an understatement, another person was enjoying her day with very pleasant company in her opinion.
A couple of hours before Eleonora visited the Johnson's, noticed the bizarre disappearance of her phone and her wallet, went down the nerve wracking, bought a few groceries from a supermarket with a cashier calling her sweetheart and finally running into that little 'trouble' mentioned above, Layla Chang was spending her day with a certain person
That certain person went by the name of Rash. After spending the best of the afternoon going to multiple places in the small town on Sallyville, the two were currently heading towards an early dinner.
Going to the same place Britain took Eleonora once, they both sat down. Layla spoke up first. "So, any comments on Sallyville?"
Rash laughed out loud. "If you're looking for one whole comment then you came to the wrong place. It's certainly not what it seems."
"I know right? We don't really have advertisements to come to this town so new people are scarce. I don't even know why Eleonora came here to study."
Rash cocked his head. "Eleonora didn't originally live here?"
Layla shook her head. "Nope, she came from Oakland. Not far from here really."
"Did she say why she chose this town? Does she have any family here?" Rash asked.
"Not that I know of."
At that moment, a waitress walked over to them. With her model perfect body and her beautiful features, she was an eye magnet. Being a man, Rash couldn't help but check her out once, a little to Layla's dismay. Being the gentleman Layla thought he was though, he's eyes didn't linger.
This particular waitress had short brown hair that reached almost below her shoulders. It waved from side to side as she walked. She looked much better that the last time another couple related to this one saw her.
"Hi there! I'm Brenda Thompson. I'll be you're waitress. What can I get you?"
Both Layla and Rash looked at the menu. Being the native here, it was Layla that spoke first. "A medium chicken burger with a coke."
Rash spoke next with an order almost identical to hers. "A large chicken burger with a coke."
Brenda wrote it down with a nod and waited for any additional orders. That's when Rash suggested something. "Why don't we have it as a take away? We can eat it on the road."
Layla nodded, agreeing with the idea. "We can go to the park, it's not far from here."
"Take away then?" Brenda inquired.
Both nodded and proceeded to wait for their meals. Rash pulled out his phone and fiddled with it, probably looking at some notifications.
At that moment, Layla's phone beeped with the ring tone of a text. It was from Eleonora.
May not be there for the night. Don't wait up for me. Bye
Layla frowned. It was unlike Eleonora to stay out late, let alone for the whole night. Nevertheless, Layla shrugged and let it go. Eleonora was a grown woman, she could take care of herself. Plus, Layla got a feeling that Eleonora hated people that pried.
