Previously.......

She let out a long sigh, frustrated by my stubbornness. "Okay. I'll tell you about myself first then. Just to make it even. I climbed up this stupid mountain, yes, for the view, but also for another reason. To run away from someone who hurt me a lot. But was also responsible for making me the happiest person in the world."

Okay. Could it get any weirder? We were more alike than I thought. Coincidence much? Probably. At that moment, I felt a slap on my head.

"Okay, dude, you really have to stop the whole 'staring into space' thing."

"Fine. Yes. I'm running away from a girl that I like. Happy now?"

"Totally. I kind of figured that was the case. Now spill. Who? What? When? Where? Why? How?"

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

And what did I do next? I told her everything.

It's crazy, isn't it? Explaining your love life to a complete random stranger that you just met a few hours ago. But I can't help but trust this girl.

"Why don't you just tell her?"

"I can't. How would she react? What would happen to our friendship after that?"

"And what would happen to your friendship if you don't tell her and she gets a boyfriend? You're going to have to crawl into a hole and dwell on how you didn't tell her when you had the chance. You never know what will happen if you don't try."

"I know what will happen. She's going to reject me."

"What make you so sure?"

"I just know. She just doesn't like me. Personal experience."

"What if she actually does like you but has reasons for not being clear about it?"

"It won't matter if she likes me, as long as she's not going to accept me anyway."

"Then why are you still trying?"

"HEYYY. WHAT ARE YOU TWO TALKING ABOUT? CAN I JOIN TOO?" Mason came crawling to our side of the tent and plopped his ass down in the middle of Camper Girl and I. I'm pretty sure we didn't bring drugs or alcohol to this trip, but whatever happened while we were talking, Mason got high.

I turned to Todd and asked, "What did you feed him?"

Todd shrugged, replied, "We didn't feed him anything. He opened up a packet of Swiss Miss and sugar, mixed them up together in a cup and ate the whole thing, along with some left over noodles. And so, this is the result."

Mason was rolling around on his sleeping bag, while Nate was trying to finish his cup of instant noodles beside him. Zackery was about to do the same thing as Mason, but Todd slapped the sugar packet out of his hand before he dumped it in his mouth. One sugar high teenage boy was enough. We didn't need another one, especially when he can already get hyper without eating sugar.

"Guys! Let's go outside! It's getting stuffy in this tent. Let's go! Let's go! Let's go!" Not even a second after that, Mason jumped out of the tent and Zackery followed right after.

"We should follow them, shouldn't we?" Camper Girl was right. As much as I hate to say it, I'd be worried if anything bad happened to them.

"Alright, let's go find them then. " I got up and out the tent, and followed the sound of laughter.

"You know you guys didn't have to follow me. I'm completely fine without you guys. I can totally take care of myse---" That was before Mason fell into a hole.
