A night thinking about you

There was a knock on Monami's cabin as Reena delivered some files that Monami had called for.

"Thank you, Reena" , a Monami said
"Madam, aap theek hain." Reena asked, trying to talk to Monami. "Woh floor pe jo hua"

Monami responded, "yeah" with a smile

Reena continued "To aap Karan se naraaz nahi ho na. Matlab wo bahut achcha hai, aaapki madad hi kar raha tha"

"Hmm.. dekha maine tum dono ko, wo meri complaint kar raha tha tumse? boyfriend hai tumhaara?" Monami asked with a smile

Reena blushed. "nahi nahi ma'm. Karan to sabke saath achcha hai. Wo sab ladkiyon ki bohot respect karta hai. Wo kabhi aapko nuksaan nahi pahonchne dega."

"Tum itna keh rahi ho to maan leti hoon." Monami said after pretending to think . "Ab Reena factory mein thoda sa hi female staff hai, unhe ye feel nahi hona chahiye ki kisi ki badtameezi bardaasht hogi. Isliye wo reaction bhi zaroori tha. But ab Meri taraf se tumhare boyfriend pe koi action nahi hoga. Tum relax karo."
"Haan aur chaho to jaldi off leke apne boyfriend ka mood thik karne jaa sakti ho"

Karan was upset when he reached home. He told his mom, Yashoda, that he planned to resign the next day, just wanted to tell her before he did. He narrated their interactions in last days. "Aaj jo hua uske baad main wahan kaam nahi karunga."

Yashoda: "Baat to sahi hai, use tujh par haath nahi uthana chahiye tha. Jahan mere bete ki izzat na ho, main use rukne ke liye nahi kahungi. Par beta, kya wakai wahan teri izzat nahi hai? Ya ye ek galatfehmi thi jo door ho sakti hai?"
Karan: "Main wahan sirf tere kehne pe kaam kar raha hoon, galatfehmi mitana meri zimmedari nahi hai"
Yashoda: "Karan tune Jo bataya , tum dono 3 din se jhagda kar rahe ho, phir bhi usne aaj tujhpe hi bharosa kiya factory dikhane ke liye. Aur phir ye haadsa ho gaya.... Dekh tu samajhdaar hai. Tune waqt liya, uski tarah Ekdum se faisla nahi liya. To ab jo faisla lega soch samajh kar lena. Wo yahan factory ko bachane hi aayi hai na, koi dushman nahi hai. Aage tujhe jo theek lage"

Reena came in just at that time. She tried to convince Karan too that M'am isn't bad. She just gets angry suddenly and then cools down. And she believed Reena when Reena defended Karan.

But somehow Karan sensed this is not going to be smooth. This is going to affect him in a big way.  What was this about Monami which made his heart behave weird? He looked at the stars to give him some solution.

Monami was desperately hoping Karan retracts his resignation plan before it reaches her dad.

Just then she received a call from her dad.
Monami: "Dad, how are you?"
Dad: "Main ye kya sunn raha hoon Monami?"
Monami (scared): "Ji... what dad?"
Dad: "Tum kabhi kuch theek se kyon nahi kar sakti"
Monami: "Dad, please listen... main sab sahi karne hi to aayi hoon, aap mujhe kuch time dijiye, I will make everything work"
Dad: "What will you do? You will only make things worse. Tum normal ladkiyon ki tarah behave kyon nahi kar sakti? Khud ko alag prove kyon karna chahti ho?"
Monami:  "Dad, aisa kuch nahi hai. I just want you to be proud of me"
Dad: "Tumhari inn harkaton se mera sar sirf jhukta hai... kya kahan tumne Mrs Arora ko , ki tum shaadi ke baad bhi factories manage karogi aur bachche 5 saal tak nahi chahiye... tum khud ko samajhti kya ho? Pata hai kitna humiliating tha jab unhone sabke saamne tumhari in conditions ko mock kiya"
Monami (sighed, she was relaxed to know that this isn't about the factory drama today): "Dad mujhe wo Sunny and uski mom bohot mean lage the"
Dad: "Tum kya ho , tum mean nahi ho?"
Monami: "Dad aap please mujhe thoda time de do na. Phir aap jisse kahenge main usse shaadi kar loongi. Abhi main factory revive Karne pe focus karna chahti hoon"
Dad: "Monami uss jagah par meri bohot izzat hai. Kuch aise na karna ki meri badnaami ho"
Monami : "Yes Dad"
Monami's father disconnected the call.

Monami looked at the stars from her balcony. She can't let her dad down. She will prove herself worthy. Whatever it may take. She needs to sort the Karan matter. She prayed to the stars to show her the right way.
