" Hawks, what were you doing" Endeavor scowled at me and crossed his arms over his chest. "You flew home drunk again"

" No, this time I fell asleep during the flight" I corrected his words and turned on the TV. In the morning, the doctor visited me and treated me. He found that I had two broken ribs but nothing else. My sight returned in the morning. The doctor said that I was very lucky, I could even peel it off.

" So now you'll be off for two or three weeks!?"

" My ribs must heal" I said and covered myself with a blanket. I couldn't imagine a better vacation. I'll probably fall from the sky more often.

Finally, silence is exactly what I needed. I released my wings and let them fall to the ground. I need to sleep for a while. I didn't sleep all night. My chest was still throbbing and I still had the silhouette of the man in front of my eyes. I don't even know how, but eventually I fell asleep.

I woke up later in the evening to someone knocking on my door. I stood up painfully and went to open the door.

She had been here many times. She already felt like at home here. " God, I was so scared. If only I hadn't sent you home alone..."

I immediately cut her off.

" Don't blame yourself, it's not your fault. It's my fault. I should have called a taxi and not gone alone and tired" it was my mistake and I admit it. I didn't think much at the time, I just wanted to be home and sleep as quickly as possible. Next time I won't make that mistake again.

" I'm sorry, I should have been there," she said, taking off her coat, which she threw on the couch next to me. Immediately after that, she moved to the kitchen and started heating the food she had brought. " But speaking of that, I heard that someone dragged you here," she said and put the food on the plates.

" Yeah, he saw me fall so he helped"

" Nice of him.. it was definitely funny," she laughed.

" Yeah, it was" I smiled into the void and imagined it.

" Who is he?" She giggled and placed the warmed food on the front table. I silently thanked and started eating.

" I don't even know. My vision was blurry so I didn't see him much and he didn't tell me his name the whole time. But from his voice I'm sure he's hot" I said.

" You didn't even invite him up?" She wondered as if I was inviting everyone up, which I really don't do. She put her feet on the table.

" He rejected me" she almost ran at my words.

" Wh-what? And you're okay with that?"

" He gave me his number so.."

"He gave you his number!? Have you text to him yet?" No... I don't know what to text to him. I wanted to but I didn't know how to start.

" No.. I didn't know what to text to him" Rumi thought for a moment and spoke after a while.

" Did you thank him?" I had to think about her question. I replayed the whole night in my head. At that moment I felt sick. I didn't thank him. What does he think of me now? That I'm some ungrateful self-centered hero. God I screwed up. Poor guy dragged me all the way here and I didn't say one simple THANK YOU!

I immediately picked up the phone.

" Hawks! You're not serious" Rumi laughed until her food spilled out of her mouth. And she calls herself a woman.

I quickly opened our chat. I saved him under the name My hero. I know, I KNOW! But I couldn't think of anything better at that moment.

H : Hello, I just realized that I didn't even thank you for yesterday.. so thank you. - Hawks

I didn't read the message again and just sent it. Rumi immediately took my phone and read the message.
,, Hello? Are you serious?" she rolled her eyes. " Why do you write so politely to him and not to me?" She was offended and put the last bite on her plate in her mouth. When suddenly a message beeped on the phone. We both noticed immediately. I reached for the phone but Rumi simply kicked me away.

" Give it here!" I shouted at her while she was looking at the display. She suddenly covered her mouth with her hand and looked at me in shock. "What is it?"

" He sent you a nude!"

"What!? SHOW ME!!" I reached for the phone and snatched it from her hand. I looked at the display but there was no nude.

She laughed and kicked me. I rolled my eyes and read the message

M: It's okay, you barely walked, you didn't think about it yet.

" He's funny," said Rumi, also looking at the screen. As soon as she finished, another message arrived.

M: I found one of your feathers in my coat, what should I do with it?

Rumi grimaced and rolled her eyes at me.

" Stop it!" I frowned at her and wrote back.

H: When we meet next time, you can return it to me, until then, keep an eye on him

Rumi next to me laughed and rested her head on my shoulder. "Cute"
