Killer's POV(one of him at least)

This is such a weird place to wake up in....And telling by the big locks everywhere, I'm probably not supposed to be here.

I glance around as I walk down dusty aisles of bookshelves and locked chests. It's dark and I don't see anyone around. Maybe I could find something useful like food or supplies. I break a chest open and glance in, finding no food or supplies. But I start digging deeper, finding a book labeled Nim's Heir Experiments which catches my interest quickly. I lift it up, blowing the dust off of it. Isn't Nim that lady everyone talks about? Maybe this will come in handy. I open the book and find numerous files and serious reports with dates and pictures of skeletons or souls.... Hmm....It says that Nim wanted to see what her heirs could be like, specifically how trusting they'd be, so that she could start training them in case she ever got tired of training her son or saw that he was unfit to inherit the throne. It said that she sought obedience from the heir and that seems to be lacking these days. Her other son, the Dark Prince, is a lost cause in her opinion so he isn't involved in these tests that take a piece of the prince's soul to mix with another's and produce a new soul. I feel like I recognize one of the pictures of a child, showing bright stars for eyes. His report says that he was "too much trouble" and was given away to a pair of parents to look after him until Nim decided what to do with the boy.

Wow...The royals are weird. But this book has good information that I could use if ever in trouble...I'll keep it...

I tuck it away in my bag, then find a window to finally get out of there. I hop out of the window onto a tree, climbing down the branches. I wander around curiously, holding the strap to my bag tightly. I sit down, brushing the dirt and sticks off of my feet, and hear footsteps coming closer to me. I glance up, seeing a boy who has to be only a few years older than me.

"Hello there! You look a little lost. I'm looking for a friend, do you want to join me?"He asks, his star eyes twinkling.

I see a scar of a moon on his head and slight scars on his hand. He looks like the child in the book. I glance around, knowing that he's right about me being lost. I don't know where I am and more importantly, I dunno where my brother is.

I nod, so he takes me by the hand and leads me away

I nod, so he takes me by the hand and leads me away. He smiles, wandering around and glancing at the landscape. I see the villages fade behind us as we walk further into the distance.

"Where are we going? Have you seen my brother?"I ask

"I don't think so but I am finding my hero! He needs my help so I'm locating him! I'm sure that we can help you!"He says

"But no towns around..."I say

"I know where I'm going! Don't worry!"He says

We reach a beach and he scans the horizon with his gaze on the water.

"Hmm...He's moving...I was sure that he was this way..."He mutters

He glances around as it starts getting dark out, lifting his hood over his head and drooping over his face. Then he continues leading me away.
