After my phone call with Fuyuhiko, I went ahead and regrouped with the rest.

Hajime, Chiaki, and I began investigating the scene of the crime, eventually going back to the Grape House Lounge to discuss our findings.

I began by summarizing my phone call from earlier when Chiaki and I noticed Hajime spacing out, "Hajime..?" I called out.

"He's not paying attention," Chiaki waved a hand in front of the brunette's face, "Hajime, can you hear me...?"

No response.

"Hey... Can you hear me...?"

Again, silence.

Chiaki tried and waved her hand in front of his face again, "Hajime, can you hear me?" This seemed to go unnoticed by the boy.

"Huh...?" He let out, "Ah, I'm sorry, did you guys say something?"

"It's been two hours since Fuyuhiko and I talked about getting the elevator fixed," I explained.

"It'd be bad if we were still split up before the class trial, so maybe we should call them one more time," Chiaki suggested.

The three of us walked towards the phone booth only to find...

"Nagito...?" Hajime let out.

Nagito?!

Why is he here...?

The others from the Strawberry House still haven't...

Unless...

No... It can't be...

Did he...

Enter the Final Dead Room...?!

My thoughts were cut off by the familiar voice of Nagito, "Why hello there, Hajime," his tone was off. Not unlike his typical happy one.

"N-Nagito?! Why are you here?!" Hajime questioned. I stayed silent all throughout the conversation as I observed the luckster.

His mannerisms and speech have changed...

It's like... he found out something...

Could it be the prize he received...?

Did he receive the same prize as me?!

More importantly, did he place 5 bullets?!

I mean, I know he's the lucky student, but It's still so baffling!

I calmed myself and stopped the assumptions going through my head.

"Also... there's one more thing I need to tell you guys..." Nagito started, "I've cleared the Final Dead Room!"

"You what?!"

This is bad...

He knows about Hajime now...

"You did... The Life-Threatening Game...?" Chiaki looked at Nagito cautiously.

Chiaki must be thinking of the same thing...

Well, if he did receive the same file then he must know all about their origins...

That they're all Ultimate Despair...

"It wasn't life-threatening at all," He laughed it off, "It was just a little escape game that ended with some Russian Roulette."

"Russian Roulette...?" Hajime was confused.

"It's a game where you load one bullet in a gun, spin the cylinder, point it towards you, and pull the trigger," Chiaki explained. "It's very dangerous."

"Ah, so that's how you're supposed to play it," Nagito seemed... shocked?

No way...

Did he actually put in 5 bullets?!

"I misunderstood and thought that I had to take one bullet out of the cylinder... so that's how I did it," He smiled.

...

I'm at a lost for words...

"Th-That...! You only had a one-in-six chance of surviving...!" Hajime stammered.

"But I'm still alive, no?" Nagito looked at his hands with a grin, "After all, the only good thing about me is how lucky I am." He explained how he was able to obtain the rights to move between the Strawberry house and Grape house at will.

"Move back and forth...? Where would you even be able to do that, and how?" Hajime was as confused as ever, Nagito wasn't making any sense...!

Nagito glared at the brunette, "Hey, Hajime..."

"You've been repeating yourself over and over and it's bugging me. Can you let me speak freely for a change?" The luckster spat. It made my heart race.

Hajime was speechless, it was so out of character for Nagito to speak to him like that.

"Anyway... I'm definitely lucky. Thanks to that, I was able to clear the roulette at the highest difficulty..." He rummaged through the pockets of his hoodie and pulled out a file.

"No way..."  I muttered.

It was the same Future Foundation file I received containing everything there is to know about the first School Killings...
