f/s = favorite scent
I opened my eyes to see that I was back in my cabin. The familiar scent of f/s entered my nostrils as I got out of bed. My body was sore, I couldn't move a muscle without feeling pain. I groaned and took a deep breath, trying to tolerate the pain as I stood up and made my way to the bathroom.
I looked at myself in the mirror and saw a huge cut on my cheek, about the size of a band-aid.
Some stray rubble must've hit me.
I washed my face from all the dirt the night before and disinfected my cuts. Needless to say, it hurt like a bitch.
I hissed and winced as the alcohol hit my wound. It was painful, so painful.
After all that, I brushed my teeth and made my way to the remains of the hotel lobby. I climbed the stairs towards the restaurant to find the others already there.
"Y/n! How are you?" Hajime was the first one to greet me.
"I-I'm alright... I--" I was cut off by Sonia's gasp.
"Y/n! Your face!"
"Heh, yea... I guess some rubble cut it..." I rubbed the back of my head sheepishly, "H-How about you guys? Are you alright?"
"I'm not okay at all! My ears are seriously ringing!" Kazuichi exclaimed, "My eardrum is definitely ruptured... I need to hurry and have a doctor look at it..."
"So... what should we do now?" Chiaki questioned, the weight of the situation suddenly being placed on me.
Nagito... He's planning to blow up the entire island...
Come to think of it, how'd he even place the bombs in the first place?!
I was with him the entire time yesterday!
"How troubling... If one of the traitors would just come forward this problem would be resolved in no time," I flinched at the sudden sound of Nagito's voice. I mean, he appeared out of nowhere!
"N-Nagito?! When did you--?!"
"Good morning... I came to motivate you guys since you're just laying around," Nagito stated, "Didn't I tell you yesterday that bombs are set to go off in two day at noon? Well, you've got one day left. C'mon you better hurry."
"H-Hurry...? I'm not the one who has to come forwards, the traitor does, right...?" Kazuichi replied cautiously.
"Well, that's probably true..." Nagito trailed off, "But even if this does depend on the traitor, your attitudes aren't admirable at all..."
"What do you mean?!"
"I mean... real hope is when you confront a hopeless difficulty that's standing before you, right?" He smiled, "And despite that, you guys are already ready to give up. What does that mean?"
Suddenly, Nagito's expression turned sour as he glared at everyone in the room, "Or... is this your limit? If so, it makes me laugh to think I ever called you symbols of hope."
"You bastard!" Akane cursed.
"Now, now, calm down," Nagito chuckled, "I took the time to come bring you guys a valuable hint. Wouldn't it be bad if I changed my mind?"
"Nagito... what is your hint?" Hajime questioned.
"Oh, you finally have hope?! That makes me happy," He grinned, "Well, it's about the bomb's hiding place... I hid it somewhere you guys haven't been before."
"Somewhere we have not been before...?" Sonia repeated.
"Enough with these hints..." Akane seethed, "just tell us the answer! If you don't, I'll make you spit it out!" She clenched her fists and made her way to Nagito, only to be blocked off by Kazuichi.
"St-Stop it...! What are we gonna do if he sets off another bomb!?"
"Good judgment," Nagito smirked, "If you guys have time to pick a fight with me, then you should start searching for the bombs already."
"Then, I'll just... crush you to pieces later...!" Akane relaxed and turned to sit back down.
"How scary..." Nagito's smiled never faltered.
"Why'd you give us hint?" Chiaki spoke up for the first time in a while.
"Well, if the traitor sees their friends working hard, they may feel inclined to come forward, you know?"
"Who cares? The traitor might not even exist..." Fuyuhiko scoffed, "All we need to do is find the damn bombs!"
"Let's go..." The gangster turned away from Nagito and walked out of the restaurant with everyone following.
"Take care," Nagito waved, "Oh, by the way, I'll be waiting here, so if you want to reveal yourself, come see me anytime..."
I stopped in my tracks.
"Mister or Miss Traitor..." His laugh echoed in my eardrums as I went down the steps.
I have to do something about this.
