Nagito and I walked hand-in-hand in silence with the distant sounds of ocean waves crashing against the sand accompanying us.

"So..." We both spoke up at the same time.

I laughed, "You should go first, this happened before, right?"

Nagito chuckled along and agreed, "So... I was wondering if you're free tomorrow?"

"We're on a deserted island in a killing game. How free can I get?" I made a sarcastic remark to which Nagito frowned to.

"Oh... I'm sorry... I shouldn't have asked such a question..." I panicked as I saw how Nagito took my comment seriously.

"N-No! Don't be sorry! I was just joking! Of course I'm free! Please don't be sad!" I tried my best to reassure the frowning luckster.

I saw the corner of his lips curl up, "Really?! Oh, that's great! I was wondering if you'd like to explore the entirety of Jabberwock Island together?" I raised my eyebrow at his sudden request.

"Sure, but how come? We've already explored the others islands long ago."

"I've just been really adamant about finding out who the traitor is," He explained, "I think we might find clues if we retrace our steps, you know?"

I nodded in understanding, "That makes sense, but how are you so sure that I'm not the traitor?" I joked.

"Because I don't really know who the traitor is," He confessed, "To be honest, all the pieces are still jumbled for me. Everything that Monokuma has given up to this point are still so unclear."

"T-Then... How can you know that I'm safe to be around with? I could be the traitor for all you know! Plus, my 'picture' was there in that one file," I questioned, not caring if I was being obvious.

"Because I know you, Y/n."

Huh?

"You're not someone that is capable of hurting others," He began, "You're someone who takes care of others from the sidelines. You're not one for big, flashy displays of affection. Even if you don't show it, I can see how much you care for our classmates. So, you being a part of the organization that's responsible for putting us here in the first place is impossible."

"Future Foundation is a horrible organization, and someone like you doesn't belong in there."

My eyes were wide at his words.

Does he really think I'm all that...?

Tears began to form at the corner of my eyes.

He really thinks I'm not the traitor...

"Y/n... are you okay?" Nagito looked at me with concern.

"Y-Yea... I'm alright, I just... I've only ever been able to process the weight of the situation. Everyone... Everyone I've come to know up to this point is dead..."

"I-I know, Y/n... Yes, it's hard, but think of it this way. They were able to inspire our classmates to live for the sake of hope! They didn't let despair overcome them in the slightest. If anything, their deaths serve as a symbol of hope!"

"M-Maybe you're right..."

"Cheer up, Y/n..." Nagito placed a shaky hand on my tear-stained cheek and wiped away my tears, "We'll get out of this together, okay? The others who have died up to this point have not died in vain. We'll survive for them."

I nodded, "For them..."

Nagito smiled at my reply and placed a kiss on my forehead, "I love you, Y/n. Stay strong for me."
