As I am currently in the necessary Marauders era, my love for these two is increasing with every six hour fanfic i read. And yes they are that long.
So lets start with the subject of Tonks. She's a great character and all, but i don't think Remus didn't ask her out and avoided her because he was scared or afraid of what the outcome would be if he admitted to his 'feelings' for her, but because he couldn't and wouldn't love anyone the way he loved Sirius. At least, that's what I think.
