Despite his opponent getting a major power boost Checker face was still unfazed, " Well Gabriel that was Malocchio. He is a greedy ring with a monstrous power to reflect my opponent's move." The monster eyes disappeared from the void.
" Higher beings are like un-killable cockroaches, more annoying than humans.", Gabriel scoffed, " You have three rings, but I don't need three moves to get rid of you."
" We will see about that.", Checker face shot back. He was secretly paying attention to his wife's battle, since they had an unspoken plan that needed the right timing.
Gabriel was furious that his prestige as an almighty demon lord was being challenged by someone, instead of thinking that his opponent was indeed as capable as he showed he underestimated the enemy and decided to show this puny higher being what it meant to regret.
There was the sound of choirs of angels singing as more and more golden angels covered in light appeared. These angel warriors were holding musical instruments, after forming a circle around him they were all sucked in by him and he grew larger and larger transforming into one gigantic golden angel with six wings and flowing golden feathers in the wind.
" The Angel of Love will make all dreams a reality.", The angel said. One moment ago he was a sinister devil the next moment he was a divine envoy covered in holy light. From this one could see that demons were the master of disguises.
Not to be outdone Checker face flicked something in the air that kept flipping as it free fall. It was a horn shaped ring that smoothly slipped on his finger. With a snap of his fingers a red light enveloped him growing brighter almost blinding those on the battlefield.
When the light cleared what appeared in front of everyone was a monster equal in size to the angel. It was grotesque with a long curved horn on its forehead and wielding a giant hammer.
The angel waived his hand manipulating the flying golden feathers which had turned into blades to aim at the monster. It caused various cuts to the monster splashing blood all over the place. The horned monster raised his hammer covered in arcs of red lightning. He swung it around slowly at first then it gathered more speed.
The red lightning increased each time the hammer was swung, at one point the entire space around the two became so static and unstable cracks started appearing in the void. The horned giant finally threw the hammer at the angel who had the intention to fly away, but when he tried to he found himself unable to move and a tearing pain that touched his soul overwhelmed him.
" Ahhhhhhhhhhhhh!", the scream of the fallen angel echoed across the battlefield. When the hammer made impact the giant angel shattered leaving only Gabriel without his battle form. He was so pitiful, his wings were broken and hung limply on his back and his skin was charred beyond repair, but the worst had yet to come.
" What have you done to me?!", Gabriel asked through the soul tearing pain. Kawahira was back to his usual appearance as the headmaster of the academy. He simply said like he was commenting about today's weather, " Never trust the words of an illusionist. I lied from the start of the battle, I didn't just use two rings, I used four."
" What were the purpose of the other two?", Gabriel asked with an ominous premonition as he felt something sucking the life force from him. Six rings floated around Kawahira's hand. He replied, " The 666 ring is to turn one's fortune around. I used it to for the chance to bring misfortune to my enemies. When I tore off your wings I left a seed from my Vine ring inside the wound."
" The seed germinates and sprouts using your blood. The vines grows on your bones. It eats away your heart and most important it feeds on your life force."
When the last words were said a lot of vines shot out from inside Gabriel. They grew larger and larger and blossoms started appearing. These blossoms then grew into red bell flowers. They carried a scent of blood. The more flowers blossomed Gabriel could feel his impending death as he quickly shriveled up.
A mournful cry shattered the silence, " Gabriel my love, no!"
Rewind the time to when Kawahira faced off against Gabriel and Sepira challenged Changé. The demon lord of music was a beautiful high elf named Changé. (see picture guide book for description) Sepira was a higher being that had plenty of skills and knowledge, she and her husband choose these two demon lords for a reason.
She took out two iron fans out of her clothes. Standing there she was not at all feeling pressured about facing a practically immortal demon, since Changé's battle form was a soul. The soul of her music that could not be killed.
Changé transformed into her battle form right off the bat as she held a violin she strummed the strings and a sound wave moved towards Sepira. Sepira took a step and wherever she stepped lotus flowers from her sky flames bloomed. She raised her fans and spread them out. Invisible blades collided with invisible sound waved.
" CLANG!!"
" SCREECH!"
The sound was chaotic and deafening. The music became more intense the more strings Changé stroked, affecting those nearby. Either they blead from their ears or their minds became confused. Sepira was not affected moving with the wind her movements became more graceful. She danced creating more lotus flowers while the one playing the music was against her.
The two women exchanged moves, none backed down, none got the better of each other. In their first minute of battle they exchanged multiple blows. In their second minute skeletons and angels faced off in the sky. In their third minute a monster eye appeared in the sky. In their fourth minute demons were sacrificed, a giant angel and monster appeared.
In their fifth and final minute the angel was destroyed, his life force was used to grow deadly and gorgeous flowers on parasitic vines. Changé saw what happened and let out a mournful cry that blew away her opponent, " Gabriel my love, no!"
She appeared in front of the fallen angel that had its last breath. Blood tears fell as she hugged him not caring that the vines were sucking away her life force as well. Gabriel raised his hand and wiped away the blood tears as he whispered his last words, " Changé my lonely soul mate that lived on the moon, its brilliance was never as bright as you. I love you and farewell."
Looking at the dead fallen angel Changé mind flash back to centuries ago. A little fallen angel held the hands of the little high elf and said, " Your soul inside your dreams is the most beautiful." She replied, " If you like it, its yours."
Changé smiled as she and her lover turned to ash blown away by the wind.
