One thing I've noticed in Side order was that Marina seemed to be missing.
This reminded me of the Splatoon 2 story mode where Callie was missing.
Both of these famous idols lost their game's final fests, and have been in a past Hero mode.
There's also that Pearl was helping agent 8. Pearl won her final fest.
And Marie was helping agent 4. Marie won her final fest.
So it seems that Pearl will be helping agent 8 save Marina. Just like Marie helped 4 save Callie.
Another thing I noticed was this:

Agent 8 will be using multiple classes of weapons based on this image. Showing a female 8 holding dualies, and a male 8 holding a splatana.
This reminded me of the Splatoon 2 story mode as well, because agent 4 also used multiple classes of weapons, just like the originals but with a new design.
So it seems like these weapons will be similar to the hero weapons from Splatoon 2, except with a white and silver design.
