I laid back on my couch, scrolling the server forums. Most of the threads were about The Sword, a few claiming that it didn't actually exist, and others pointing out the person who had supposedly gotten it. All of them were wrong, as I was the one who had gotten The Sword — and there weren't many people who ever even saw it. I knew I couldn't correct people, though, because then they would know that I was the one with The Sword.

As I continued to scroll, I soon came across a thread from a user named Shellss. I recognized the name as one of the last people alive in the Bedwars game where I got the Mythical Artifact. The title read, "The player who got the sword." I straightened up on the couch. It had a lot of replies, which further worried me.

"I want to bring attention to the real person who got the sword.. and no its not me. I was in the BW game. The map was Dragon Star. You can ask @Kiqy or maybe @ohbroken, because they were there too. I died which left Kiqy and a user named TheFlawed, all alone.
Idk what happened with them... but when I went to Kiqy she said she didn't have the sword, and refused to say anything more about it.
My point here is that 'TheFlawed' has the sword. But he doesn't have a vip rank so he may not have traded in for the reward. Maybe it can still be gettable."

So people now knew that I had The Sword. It made me uncomfortable, knowing that at any time, somebody could knock on my door. . . . I looked at the date of the thread: the day after I got The Sword. It had been three days since it had been posted, and nobody had come to my house . . . but it would only be a matter of time for somebody to suspect and find me.

I forced myself to look at the comments. It was surprising — while also quite expected — that most of the commenters expressed disbelief, though some made more neutral comments such as, "Congrats to them then. I'm not sure why you're saying this."

I bookmarked the page and set aside my compass. I sighed, thinking about how I would defend if someone were to accuse me of having The Sword.

Then I considered Kiqy . . . and how she had been secretive about it. I suddenly felt indescribably grateful for her help: she had let me keep The Sword and refused to tell anybody what had happened. I wondered how I could return the favor. . . .

"Shoot!" I said aloud, forgetting that I had promised Kiqy to update her on anything I learned, because she had let me keep The Sword. Figuring I needed to do it as soon as possible, I grabbed my compass and texted her.

In the text, I brought up everything that had happened with Codename and Robity, along with the thread from Shellss. Once I finished, I sent it and set down my compass. I knew I'd probably wait a while, so I got up to get some dinner — cake of course.

I set it on the table and sat down. Before I could even take a bite, however, somebody knocked on the door. It was a loud knock, reminding me of Codename_B and RobityBobity's visit. I felt uneasy as I stood up. It's gotta be them, I thought. I slowly walked toward the door.

When I opened it, I was stunned to see who was in front of me. It was none other than Hypixel himself. I had never seen him in person before, and yet there he was: the owner of the server. And I could only imagine that he was there to get The Sword from me.

"Hello, TheFlawed," he said with a slight nod. "May I come in?"

"Sure," I answered. He strode inside and promptly went into the living room, and I followed close behind. I sat down in my usual seat, nearest to the stairs, and Hypixel sat on the couch to my left — unlike Codename and Robity, who had been opposite of me.

"You know, this entire thing fascinates me," said Hypixel. "The Sword is such an interesting object. It truly has inspirited the server, don't you think? I wonder—"
