Lost in the deep dark forest...

My eyes flutter open to a peaceful morning of birds singing. Above me I can hear some squirrels chittering. They seem to be having a good morning too, lovely. I groan as I stretch and hit my head on something hard yet squishy. Tree trunk flashes to my head, that's right I ran away and slept in a tree trunk!

I start to panic and crawl out of the trunk, pulling leaves out as I back up. I bump into something, rolling onto my butt to gaze up at Leon. He looks amazing in the little drops of sunlight that come down through the hundereds of branches. A light breeze blew in and rustle the leaves, making his mane shine. "Leon."

I jump up and hug his big chest tightly, his head came down and squished me against him. "Oh why did you stop, why did you let him take me down!" He snorted loudly, guilt written all over his face. "It's ok boy." Petting his neck I take hold of his bridle and lead him deeper into the beautiful forest.

The forest is amazing, theres moss on these big wonderful rocks and vines hanging down from the tops of tree's. Some cidica's are singing to each other all over. Even a big red squirrel crosses our path.  Leon snorts and the little critter runs off. I gaze around like I'm witnessing the best show ever taking place right in front of me. Trust me, I am though.

I've always been a bit of a nature freak. Ask anyone at school or even my dad. I don't even scare a butterfly, they always seem to be drawn to me. Animals aren't afraid of me, plants grow bigger then they usually do even the tree's seem to sing at the touch of my hand. It's wonderful, I've even been called a witch by some crazy hobo before. Perhaps it's the lolita wavey/curly brown and almost white natural streaks? Or maybe even the gold eyes, possibly even the earthy feel I tend to have around people.

Either way, I'm an earth baby. When all my beautiful nature is dead for the winter, my golden eyes dull down to a grey gold. Reason number one that I hate winter, two is that it's cold, three is that everythings dead and most of the birds are gone. I hate it.

We reach a small patch of sunlight. I stop emediatly, crunching my bare feel up and down, in and out. I don't know if I could contain myself if I touched it. I bent down and my jeans squeezed me tight, pinching my thigh. Ger, stupid tight, flared jean! I have joe boxer shortie thingies underneith right? Yea, I think I do! Ta Ta stupid jeans!

I wiggled out of them and fell on my back in the sunlight. I gazed up at the sun, smile broad, my eye kind of soare, hair everywhere, purple shirt crinkled. It was beautiful. That's it, I'm dancing! I jumped up and started spinning and jumping around, my feet moving in a rythmic thumping, my arms high above my head. "Leon, come dance with me!"

He snorted loudly and started thumping his feet in another rythm that matched mine perfectly. I squealed in delight as I spun around, dancing, laughing, hair flying, sun shineing! What a thrill! "I never want this day to end!" Leon snorted in agreement and let out a loud whinny.

The birds seemed to start singing louder then ever, the cidicas churping with more delight. Even the squirrels seemed to be dancing with us as they ran around our feet. "That's beautiful, Ebony." Dante's voice rang out and everything seemed to stop, the birds stopped singing, the squirrels and chipmunks vannished, the cidicas stopped their gleeful churping.

Everything just died.

"Dante!" I wailed in shock and fell on my butt, gasping for air, fear strikeing up in my body like a wild fire. "No, I don't want to come back!" The sun vannished and left a dull, dark light left behind. Scooting back I hugged Leon's leg. My hand on his muscular leg lightly, my legs around his hoof. Leon didn't seem to mind but I know he wasn't use to this kind of stuff

He was wearing the same color shirt as me, his had headphone and a smiley face, his jeans were a nice white wash and he was coverd in dirt. I glance back up to his eyes. There were deeper then the green of this forest, filled with worry. They were also scared. Scared of what? I do not know ,but I didn't like that.
