Mutasim P.O.V

After waking up, my partner, the boy known as Seere, and I took flight. We stayed high up in the air while also being close enough to the water to see if there was any sign of life, whether they were friend or foe. But I wasn't so sure about being back in this world. I had changed so much, perhaps too much. Vikings back on Berk were obsessed with killing dragons once, but I'm almost certain my bloodlust heavily outweighs theirs.

Seere: Mutasim, you came from this world, right?

I nodded.

Seere: Then why don't we go back to your home? Your family must miss you, right?

I shook my head, disagreeing with the idea of going back home. Unfortunately, my partner sensed my refusal and decided to annoy me.

Dragon: We should start somewhere familiar to at least one of us. Do not think that I plan on flying aimlessly around this ocean.

As much as I hated to admit it, she had a point. Her and Seere didn't know these oceans as well as I did. So unless we either wanted to die from boredom or starvation, I had no other choice but to instruct my partner on where to go. Nodding, I began to tell her where to go.

Dragon: I understand its not easy for you. But we need a place to lay low for some time. Thank you.

Hearing her be comforting like this was... weird. It was welcome, but throughout our journey together, she had never shown such concern. Perhaps the end of the world may have messed with her head a little. Regardless, I didn't think about it too much and we continued to fly, except now we turned in a different direction. Night had just fallen, allowing us to hide much more easily.

After an hour of flying, I noticed ships in the water, facing a recognisable island. There was one lone ship much closer to Berk compared to the others which simply hung back.

Dragon: It seems we are not the only visitors.

Seere: Maybe they're just merchants?

I shook my head, disagreeing. Especially with the flags that were raised. Merchants usually have a blank flag. These ones had symbols resembling weapons, meaning they were either rogues or hunters of a kind. Either way, they were armed to the teeth with weapons.

Fiery catapults and arrows were fired from the ships and towards Berk.

Dragon: Does that answer your question, Seere?

I patted my partner's head, telling her to attack the ships. Something she had no problems with. We descended onto the ships and began breathing fire on them, burning them all to a crisp with no hint of mercy or remorse.

The attackers turned their attention to us, trying to fire at us now. However, my dragon was too fast for them. They stood no chance against us. From what I remember, dragons in this era were nothing like what I had seen in the other world. Before they could even process their defeat, they were already dead, their ships sinking into the bottom of the ocean.

All that remained was the lone ship up ahead which had begun to retreat. We were about to chase after them, but Seere pointed out the buildings that were on fire. The fires were spreading and the Vikings on Berk were having trouble putting them out.

Dragon: Their plight should be of no concern to us. But... Perhaps we can show them that we mean no harm if we aid them. Those others can be taken care of later. No mortal can escape from our clutches, in this life and the next.

We changed course for Berk flying above the burning houses. Vikings began to get buckets of water and began to toss it onto the burning houses.

Seere: How do we stop the fire?!

Mutasim: "Go for the water and spew it on the houses."

Dragon: That seems to be the only option.

We flew back down to the ocean, the dragon engulfed water from the ocean and we flew back to the burning buildings. Once we reached them, the dragon spewed the water onto the fiery houses, dousing the flames. The other Vikings watched us with interest and some form of joy, cheering us on.

Once the fires were dealt with, we landed on the ground, Seere and I dismounted the dragon and faced the other Vikings.

Viking1: Who are they?

Viking2: They're not friends of the others, are they?

Viking3: What kind of dragon is that?

The entire village had gathered around us, but there was one Viking who stood out. He was the largest one in both size and facial hair. This was Stoick the Vast, the Chief of Berk. He had pushed through the crowd and stood at the front.

Stoick: I don't know who you three are, but you have my thanks for the assist. And here I thought the only Dragon Riders we knew of were from Berk.

I frowned, confused. Dragon Riders? Plural? And on Berk? What happened while I was gone?

Seere: Hello sir! My name's Seere, and this is Mutasim and his dragon. Apparently, Mutasim lived here once.

Stoick's eyes widened when he heard my name and his gaze fell directly on me.

Stoick: Mutasim...? Is that... really you?

Hesitantly, I nodded.

Stoick: Odin's beard... You're completely covered in blood! What happened to you?!

Seere: Its a long story sir. And... I'm afraid he can't speak. He's lost his voice.

Stoick: Oh... I see. Well, first things first, let's get you cleaned up Mutasim. Gobber, send a Terror mail to Dragon's Edge, tell Hiccup what happened here. He needs to know that Dagur tried to attack us.

Gobber: Aye Chief. Already sent it. Its good to have you back Mutasim. Really. We've all been wondering where you ran off to.

I nodded slowly, following Stoick to a place where I could clean myself up. Seere and my partner came along with me, unsure of what else to do.

But I was confused on why they weren't so hellbent on trying to kill dragons anymore.
