TATE
You know what they say?
They say, be grateful for everything you have because you don't know what will get in your way at any time. And it's true, you don't know when god will send you something you'll regret your whole life. And for that, you should always be grateful for everything you have. Even if you're only living to eat bread with nothing else.
And yes. I was one of those people who is grateful for everything god is doing to me. And I didn't care if I had enough money to buy fancy clothes and brands. I was happy living like this. With my mom and dad. We can afford clothes, we can afford food, and we can afford to buy new stuff.
But all of that was before my dad lost his job. He looked for other jobs, and he didn't find any. Maybe it was time for me to start working and help my family with money. I got everything I wanted, though.

Waking up to the smell of coffee in the morning was one of my favorite things ever. Mom knows my routine, I always start my day with Nescafe or coffee. Mom enters, holding the tray in her hand and on it, small pancakes and coffee.
"Good morning, my beautiful lady," she looks at me with a bright smile on her wrinkle face. She wasn't too old, but because of work and the housework, she had some wrinkles on her face.
"Hey Mama, thank you!" I squealed, taking the tray from her hand. "The smell is amazing." I add smiling at her.
"Drink it, honey, me and your dad need to talk to you." When people say this to me, I get scared for no reason. This means that there is something and something not good.
"Yeah," I whispered softly.
She walks outside the door, leaving me here with my scared thoughts. What are they going to tell me?

Maritta was my favorite best friend. She was a true friend. She would always stand up for me in my darkest days, especially when those rich kids used to make fun of me and how I didn't dress up in fancy clothes. I really didn't care, though. She was a total bad girl, and I was innocent behind her.
I used to tell her that it was fine, I didn't mind them bullying me, but she won't leave them alone. She used to curse at them and tell them to fuck off.. I can't even say that word!
Well I know that I used to tell her that it's fine, but deep inside me it was not. I hate cruel people, I hate mean people, but I've always kept it to myself. I used to come home and cry my eyes out in the bathroom without no one knowing. I didn't know how to stand up for myself, and I hated that in me.
Getting up from bed, I brushed my teeth and washed my face, I got out and changed into a simple vintage dress. It hugged my body tight, I used to be insecure about my body, but now I don't know.. sometimes I do love it, and sometimes I don't. But as I said, I was grateful for everything.
I go to the salon where my parents were sitting. "Hey, Papa," I go to him, placing a kiss on his forehead he beamed at me.
"Good morning, my little girl. How are you doing?"
