I thought titling this part "About Me" would be extra funny in a way since this whole thing is about me.
I've told you lots of serious, not-so-fun facts about me, so I felt like writing a part that's 100% all facts that I deem to be more on the "fun" side. Why not, right?
My birthday is April 27th, 1999. I am a Taurus. My moon sign is Libra, and I'm a Leo rising. Fun mix! While I'm not one of those people who does bad things and then blames it on my zodiac sign, or reject someone simply just because they're an Aquarius, I do personally follow astrology and I do believe in it. So there's that.
Currently, my favorite musician is Oliver Tree. I have three tattoos. One on the inside of my left wrist, an eight-bit Pokeball (normal red and white one), on the outside of my right wrist I have what is a tribute to the movie The Corpse Bride, its Emily's hand outstretched, and butterfly that looks like she is landing on her outstretched skeletal pointer-finger. Over my heart, I have a Celtic-looking triforce inside of a ring of fire, flames spreading outside of it. I want more, lots more.
I used to have stretched ears, as well as a pierced lip, and my left eyebrow was pierced. I miss the look, but I figure I should refrain from stuff like that for future professional purposes.
While I used to enjoy dying my hair every color under the sun, I keep it all natural now, red so dark that without the summertime sun, it looks a bit brown, like auburn but more brownish. My eyes are brown, I have lots of freckles, I'm pale, and very clearly Irish.
I love to read, play video games, and listen to music. My favorites are Twilight Princess from Legend of Zelda (although I'm a fan of just about anything and everything LoZ-related), Pokemon Diamond because of nostalgia, Animal Crossing, and I loved Super Mario Bros. I used to be super fond of Mario Kart, and that one I think that's called Mario Party.
My video game list is a bit long actually, but who cares. I first played on the computer a bit then the Wii, and then the DS. I got to play on a lot of systems, I had an Xbox at one point, a Wii-U, a 3DS XL, and a Nintendo Switch. I loved to play the little online Tinkerbell game and I don't care who knows it!
I played Wizard101 a lot, it's not as much of a nerfed kiddie game as people seem to think it is. The storyline gets dark and very sad, and the endings aren't always happy. They're kind of always sad in some way or another. I like the realism.
I like games because in life I oftentimes have found myself feeling very powerless and hopeless, and games are the one place where that wasn't the case. That wasn't the case at all. Games were my gateway to worlds where I was the key to saving the day, where I could get things done and get them done well. I was given tasks to fulfill, and given an (usually) understanding as to how to do so. Enough to get started, and everything else would make it obvious along the way.
Games I've not mentioned so far that I've played before are Skyrim, Elder Scrolls Online, Mortal Kombat, My Sims Kingdom, LoZ Skyward Sword, LoZ Link to the Past, LoZ Minish Cap, LoZ Link Between Worlds, Pokemon: Ruby Red, Sapphire, Pearl, X, Black, Leaf Green, Sword, Moon, possibly more, but I can't remember for the life of me any more titles. I've played a good few of the Pokemon Mystery Dungeon games, and the Pokemon Ranger games as well-loved them both.
Haven't always made the best choices, but I think to some degree, I'm pretty cool.
My top three favorite authors are Cassandra Clare, Stephen King, and Rick Riordan. I love the Harry Potter series and the Harry Potter world in general but unfortunately, that author wouldn't be very fond of me, so I can't count her in. House Ravenclaw all day, baby! Or Slytherin, it depends on the day. I rep Ravenclaw the hardest.
There are so many facts about myself, and that's the beauty of us all, no matter how boring we're convinced that we are. We all prefer our coffee a certain way (if we even like coffee, the same goes for tea), we all have a favorite color, a favorite song, a favorite scent, hopes and dreams, and worst fears. I will never believe for a single moment that boring people walk this world, not even one.
I like my coffee in all kinds of ways, sometimes nothing but sugar, other times the works, and most often I like it iced with plenty of cream and a bit of sugar. I don't drink as much tea these days as I should. I like the smell of a lot of things, the rain is what comes to mind first. How Nate smells when I hug him in his hoodie, the brim of his hat brushing against me.
I suck at picking favorites, but I love the color maroon, and deep purples, dusty rose hues, colors like that.
I always listen to music when I write, right now "One and Only" by Oliver Tree is playing. I've been listening to a lot of his more recent songs, just about anything and everything from 2020 to date (almost 2024). "EVIL" by Melanie Martinez, "Broken Boy" by Caged the Elephant (I think), "Heads Will Roll" By Yeah Yeah Yeahs, me & ur ghost by Blackbear, I have eclectic taste, I guess. Music has often been a muse for me, it helps the writing just flow through me, so to speak.
Anything written by Cassandra Clare is a good book to me. I cried when I read The Fault In Our Stars. I'm a huge fan of the Hunger Games series, anything vampire is bound to win my favor like the Vladimir Todd series once did. I enjoyed the House of Night series immensely, same goes for the Vampire Academy series.
I like vampires a lot. Anything to do with magic always has a special pull on my eyes as well as my interest that other things just don't.
I'm gonna leave this as is for now. I do love the freedom of web novels!
