Aunt Monica decided to wake Jhene up around nine in the morning so she can get prepared to surprise Kaliyah. Kaliyah got home around eight in the morning from her dads house and was currently in her room cleaning with the music at a medium level.
The plan was to make breakfast and have Kaliyah come to the kitchen first, and then call Jhene afterwards. Monica had to be on the look out for Kaliyah while Jhene showered and snuck off back into the guest room.
The butterflies in Jhene's stomach became more intense intense as time went by. She wore a plain white medium cropped tee, with low rise True Religion Jeans and some Jordan sneakers. Her natural curly hair was out so she put it in a half up half down, with fluffy dramatic edges.
Adding the finishing touches she got her brown lip liner and some clear lip gloss to seal her look. Jhene texted her aunt letting her know that she was ready, since Kaliyah was now in the kitchen with no clue in the world.
Kaliyah glanced at her mother confusingly noticing the three plates and drinking glasses placed on the table.
"Ma why you got three plate out and it's only two of us?" Raising her eyebrow. She tried to recall if her mom mentioned having any guest over—she didn't.
Monica smiled and ignored her question pretending to hum to a song. Turning off the stove she started to dish out food onto the three plates giving the same portion size.
She made waffles, cheese eggs and turkey bacon with homemade lemonade. "Jhene come downstairs the food is ready!" Monica said while smiling showing all of her pearly whites, it was clear that Kaliyah didn't register the name she just called out.
Jhene walked down the stairs with her fingers jittering from how nervous she was. Finally reaching the front entrance of the kitchen standing there looking at her cousin she hadn't seen in a long time.
Kaliyah turned around feeling someone's presence behind her, widening her eyes while her lips parted slowly in shock.
"NO FUCKING WAYYY- Oop" she quickly cut herself off remembering her mom was in the room. Usually Monica would pinch her for cursing in front of her but she didn't this time since she expected her to react this way.
Jhene smiled and waved shyly at Kaliyah putting both arms behind her back. Kaliyah stood up running and jumping onto Jhene—causing Jhene to instantly wrap her arms around Kaliyah.
Call the girls dramatic but there was some tears, happy tears of course. Kaliyah let go of Jhene and stared at her in literal shock because it was so unexpected. She was relived that Kaliyah was happy to see her, vice versa.
"I missed you so much bro." Kaliyah exclaimed while grabbing Jhene's hands.
"I missed you too Liyah." Jhene grinned, this was a happy moment for the both of them. As they both turned around they could see Monica holding up her phone with two hands recording and smiling from ear to ear. She was definitely going to post that on Facebook later.
