Kay laughed hysterically feeling Jhene squeeze his hand tightly while they walked in his building. She could feel her knees buckle and the thousand of butterflies swarming around in her stomach.
As Jhene dealt with a small panic attack, Kay felt the opposite. He was excited that they were actually taking small yet huge steps. With Jhene being busy with school work and him being busy in the studio, he suggested they spend some time together on the weekend.
Whenever they hung around each other it was mostly in an outside setting and Kay was starting to get tired of that scenery. The urge of wanting to cuddle with her for hours was starting to eat at him, so he decided to kill two birds with one stone.
Two years ago when Kay experienced a situation that left him feeling scarred, he promised himself that he'd never bring another female home until he was in his late twenties at least. Whether it was a friendship, relationship or anything that includes him having to put his trust into someone—he would expect you to cherish that.
"You don't love or respect someone if you're willing to betray them."
Providing for his family and making music to express his creativity was and still is the main priories in his life. Now he had someone that felt worthy enough to add to that list.
Jhene coming around was so unexpected but that's when Kay realized that sometimes promises are meant to be broken. He was just a man who knew what he wanted the moment he laid eyes on her in his very own lobby.
"This is not funny Kay I'm nervous as fuck!" She yelled-whispered.
"For what? You gone be straight Jhene. If my lil sister fuck with you then mama love gone fuck witchu too." He shrugged nonchalantly. Kay genuinely wasn't worried about his mom's reactions especially with the feedback she received from Aubree.
