OMNISCIENT POV

Jhene folded her last piece of clothing placing it neatly into her fully packed suitcase. Tomorrow morning her parents would be picking her up to take her back home. It was a bitter sweet moment because she missed her parents a ton, not to mention the comfort of her own self designed room. Unfortunately, she wouldn't have Kaliyah next door and her aunt downstairs to run into.

Now that Jhene was older traveling places within the five boroughs was something she wanted to do. So visiting her aunt and cousin was for sure going to be first on her list, always. Truthfully she wanted to thank Kaliyah with everything in her. Jhene wasn't an outside person, she didn't engage in activities with her age group as much but now that she did? She just knew she had been missing out for a while now.

As a regular person with feelings, Jhene was genuinely hurt to see her friendship with Zen fall in shambles. She expected to end the summer with at least her best friend still by her side, everything happened for a reason though. Hopefully, this last year of high school would bring drama free for her in general.

"Not you leaving meeeee." Kaliyah dragged with a small pout. Walking into the guest room she sat on the floor next to Jhene resting her head on her shoulder.

"Ima miss you so bad Liyahhh, it's not gone be the same over the phone." Jhene sighed, her head now leaning on top of Kaliyah's.

Kaliyah hummed, looking down at the matching bracelets her and Jhene recently purchased from pandora. She grinned at the small memory of them spending almost the entire day at the mall talking and shopping two days ago. Liyah and her mom knew that Jhene would most likely be spending her 'last' day with Kay, so they got their days in ahead of time.

Kaliyah was a well known person in the Bronx but, she stayed to herself mostly. She was starting to think maybe her family was cursed or something because whenever her or a relative thought they had a genuine friend(s), it was always the opposite.
