Yesterday was a little unusual for me.
"Ha? Ano ulit? You want me to what at 5 in the morning?" Iyong kakagising ko palang tapos may sumanib kay Calvin at may nire-request.
"I know you got to go to work in two hours, but.. is it possible for you to make some dishes like you usually do but good for maybe two days?"
Napanganga ako bago napahilamos ng mukha. "Calvin seryoso? I don't mind doing it but why that much?" He rounded the counter as I made my way to the fridge and get ingredients.
"Someone is home-sick with your home-cooked meals."
"Someone? Who -- wait, before I take out anymore ingredients, any preference?"
He shook his head. "Just whatever food you can cook before you leave."
"Is there any reason why this cannot wait until I get home today?"
Calvin gave me a meaningful smile that arched my brow. "Yes, because I have a plane to catch."
Nang dumating ako sa bahay then, si Miss Val naman ang aking nadatnan. Sabi niya ay nag-request daw siya kay Your Majesty na bibisita siya rito daily instead na weekends lang. Kaya naman more time spend kami to chika and all.
Today, nothing is really new except na tumatao ako sa harap simula kahapon dahil wala na si Julio. Naghahanap naman na kami ng replacement, pero for the meantime, my actual work takes a little more time to complete due to almost non-stop questions from the employees.
Lastly, one thing that also didn't change, but increased instead was talking to Your Majesty. And what I mean by that was him actively responding to my nonsensical questions about Valerie and Calvin yesterday despite him saying that he would be busy.
I feel appreciated tuloy.
