The people that know me, in real life, know about my love for Greek mythology. In any case now, whoever is reading this, now, knows too!

I have a penchant for all things Greek, from the gods to the demigods without forgetting the myths and creatures. This is why I decided to talk (well really write) about this next book, or should I say series.

"The Cupid Series" by GermanSam are a modern retelling of just that. My favorite myths and historical stories paired with my favorite app/website.

At first I have to admit that I thought the idea quite tacky and the concept a little far fetched. I even decided not to read her books when I first stumbled upon them. However after some time looking for something to read, her story kept popping up on my feed, so I decided to give it a try.
To say that I was pleasantly surprised would be an understatement!!

The way she seamlessly achieves to include accurate historical/mythical facts as well as her fantasy fiction left me baffled and honestly impressed.

The mixing of the modern world and the mythical world was done very tastefully and carefully. The balance of both definitely adds charm to the book "Cupid's Granddaughter" which in return translates into the whole series.

One of the things that I enjoy the most with this series is that even people that do not necessarily like or are interested in Greek mythology can get lost in her story. I personally think that Germansam uses mythology more as a setting or backstory as her plots and ideas are completely and evidently from her own world and mind. History is definitely something that some people deem boring which is the complete opposite of germansam's books.

Everyone knows that when things are slow to start people tend to get bored. Well not in this case. Germansam completely draws us in with the first chapter. The action itself is not rapid  but at the same it isn't slow. The story starts off with the right amount of information as well as the right amount of mystery. She does seem to drop hints throughout the book to give us a clue to what is going to happen next. But I've got to say that even with these little hints the story is just so well thought out that some things still manage to surprise you.

Even though mythology is a huge part of these books, you clearly get the sense that the story line and characters are being correctly put forward. By this I mean that the immensity of the historical/mythical information does not in any way make her story fade.

Concerning the grammatical aspect of these books I will say that they are an absolute pleasure to read! No blatant mistakes which makes books in general a lot more enjoyable, especially here on wattpad!

Writing in general is quite challenging, however having to do major and accurate research before writing is even more work. I honestly am impressed with how much work seems to go into these books and i applaud Germansam for her awesome work. A definite MUST read on wattpad!!
