Enemy [Kaveh x Al Haitham]

Alhaitham ran as fast as he could to hide from Kaveh. He found an open closet and quickly sat inside.
He was about to close the closet, but that's when he saw Cyno stand there and laugh.

„ Haha, what's wrong with you?", Cyno laughed.
„ I...kissed Kaveh's cheek.", Alhaitham said as he turned red. He had a traumatized look on his face.

„ So? He's your boyfriend. Have you guys never kissed?", Cyno laughed.

Alhaitham shook his head.
„ We haven't kissed...because we aren't in a relationship.", Alhaitham admitted.

Cyno continued to laugh.
„ Jesus, you are drunk.", Cyno laughed.
„ I'm being serious, Cyno.", Alhaitham said, „ Kaveh and I are in a fake relationship because Kaveh has an ex girlfriend who won't leave him alone."

Now, Cyno knew that Alhaitham was being serious.
„ Wow. I guess it makes sense though.", Cyno said, „ You guys hated each other. Then one day, you were suddenly dating."
„ Our relationship should soon end anyway.", Alhaitham said, „ It's just a temporarily thing."

Cyno sat next to Alhaitham.
„ Be honest, do you have feelings for him?", Cyno asked.

Alhaitham laughed.
„ No, I'm straight. I know he's bisexual but that doesn't mean I'm gay.", Alhaitham said.

Cyno rolled his eyes.
„ Be for real, why did you kiss his cheek?", Cyno asked.
„ Because I'm tipsy, that's why.", Alhaitham said.

Cyno laughed.
„ Come on. I also thought once that I was straight. Until I connected the pieces.", Cyno growled, „ Be honest, how do you feel about Kaveh?"

Alhaitham took a deep breath.
„ He looks really beautiful. Like, when we were slow dancing today, I couldn't help but stare at him.", he said,  „ I also don't hate him flirt with me. But it makes no sense. I'm clearly straight."

Cyno laughed.
„ Alhaitham, I don't think you're straight.", he said, „ I think you should think about it more. Anyway, I'm going back to Nari. You should talk to Kaveh."

Cyno left then.

Alhaitham didn't want to find Kaveh. Talking to him about the kiss would be embarrassing. Kaveh probably thought Alhaitham wanted to date him.
But what if...Alhaitham did like Kaveh?

Cyno was right. Alhaitham felt things for Kaveh that he wouldn't feel if he were straight.
What if he wasn't straight?

„ Why is this so confusing?", Alhaitham thought to himself as tears rolled down his cheek.

„ Alhaitham?", a voice said.
Alhaitham looked up and saw Kaveh standing there. He turned bright red.
„ Kaveh, what are you doing here?", Alhaitham said as he wiped his tears away.

Kaveh sat next to him.
„ Are you ok?", he asked.
„ I'm so sorry I kissed your cheek.", Alhaitham apologized, „ I just was tipsy and didn't know what I was doing."

Kaveh smiled.
„ Honestly, both of us are tipsy. We probably should go home.", Kaveh said. Alhaitham smiled as he got up.

Alhaitham knew he needed to figure his feelings out. He felt like maybe he did like Kaveh romantically. But he wasn't certain. Maybe he just appreciated his friendship with Kaveh.
And if he wasn't straight...what was his sexuality?

Kaveh and Alhaitham arrived at 3am in their flat. Kaveh didn't bring up the kiss, which made Alhaitham happy. Maybe Kaveh didn't like Alhaitham romantically, since this was a fake relationship after all.

It was Monday. Lectures started again. Since the kiss, Alhaitham has been thinking a lot about himself.

Were his feelings for Kaveh romantic or platonic?
