*finally an update I know, I hope yall like it tho!!! vote and comment please I really like to hear the feedback<3

I awake to my wife's head on my chest as she's snuggled into me. I don't think I'll be able to get use to it, saying my wife. My immediate reaction is to hug her closer because the warmth she's emitting is too much to resist. I slowly open my eyes. I'm met with a sight of black hair and nice, warm brown skin. As I rub my eyes, I think back to last night. It was a bit rough. Super awkward for the both of us. But I think she took it in stride. I just hope that we can put it behind us and start over in a way.

Eventually Normani wakes and tries to get out of my arms without waking me. I pull her closer to mess with her.

"Crap." She tries again.

"You know I'm up right?" I chuckle a bit.

"Umm now I do."

I let her go and she moves to lie next to me. I eventually pull myself out of bed. "I going to go get ready because we have a flight to catch later today. And we need to stop by your place as some point in order to get your stuff." She rubs her eyes while glancing over at me.

"Yeah. I'll be here."

I get ready as Normani lays in bed more.

I'm done pretty quickly because my morning routine is quick and simple. As I am walking back into the room Normani is up and waiting for me. "We absolutely have to stop by my favorite place and get breakfast before we leave. You won't regret it." Normani says as she walks out of the room headed from the front door.

We head for Normani's apartment. When we enter its spotless. It's the first thing I notice, simply because it hits you in the face with how spotless it is. I look around with wonder. How does she keep her apartment this clean that's ridiculous? She leads me into the living room, "You can wait here or have a look around if you'd like?"

"Okay," I simply state as she walks away towards her room. I feel like a kid in her apartment, don't touch anything I keep stating in my head. Everything feels so fragile as if I'll break it with my present.

I eventually start to wander around her apartment. But I'm starting to get worried she's been gone for an hour now. What could be keeping her is she okay? Should I go and check on her? I contemplate going to check on her then decide against it giving her a half an hour longer.

A half an hour more goes by and she's still not back. "Normani," I knock on the door a couple of times hoping she's okay. But she doesn't respond. "Normani is everything okay?" I ask knocking a bit louder, but still no reply.

I open the door and am immediately hit with the sounds of Beyoncé and her singing along. As I move more into the bedroom I knock on the bathroom door yelling her name. She still doesn't answer. I open the door a little and can see just a small part of her. She's dressed and dancing in front of the mirror. Now I open the door fully. She doesn't seem to notice me.

"Normani" I say and she looks up into the mirror jumping a bit at the sight of me there. "What are you doing, you know we have to go to breakfast?" I say slowly kind of puzzled at her having a dance party in the bathroom while I'm sitting on the couch hungry.

"I'm doing my morning routine. I'm almost done." Normani washes her hands while giving herself a once over in the mirror. She turns to me. "Let's go."

"Don't forget your luggage."

"Thanks." She grabs it and we get back into the car.

"Okay so I'll direct you to the restaurant."

"Cool."

I put music on that we both like as background. We eventually get there but not without some wrong turns. I'm quickly finding out that she gets distracted easily.
