Feelings, What to Do?

The next morning, I awake earlier that usual. The bed feels cold so I feel around for Normani, while opening my eyes I find that she's not laying beside me. Thinking she must be in the kitchen having breakfast, I eventually drag myself out of bed. My feet come in contact with the cool floor, walking to the kitchen I call out for her. No response comes my way. Reaching the table I see there's a note there for me.

Morning Lauren,

I went to the studio to practice more for tonight. I can't wait to see you in the crowd. Don't forget it starts at 7:30pm. Your ticket will be at the door waiting for you.

Normani

Well... Normani has gone. I was really looking forward to cuddling in bed this morning and just having a lazy morning.

Sitting at the kitchen table I start to think about Normani and I. I think of how I feel about her and my mind goes back to how I felt last night and I just want to tell somebody, anybody. Well not anybody preferably her.

So I call Camila. "Hey Camz, I'm freaking out right now."

"Why what's up?" She says in a bored tone as if she's use to my many freak-outs. I can hear the sounds of her crunching obviously Camila would be eating.

I get up from table and start to pace around the kitchen.

"I think I love her." I blurt out.

"Who?"

I stop in my tracks annoyed by the question. Camila should definitely know whom I'm on about. "Normani obviously."

"Oh good I thought we had another situation on our hands. I thought you were going to tell me you're in love with someone else, like someone new." She says and I can picture her wiping her forehead as if to signal a relief. "That's good that's what's supposed to happen." She laughs. "What's the problem?"

I shake my head but remember that she can't see me. "No I know it's not bad... but I'm just nervous because I can't really gage how she feels about me, you know? It's not like we did it the traditional way like dating, falling in love, then getting married. She could just like me as a friend and that's it."

I begin walking towards my studio when I hear silent on the other side of the line for a while. "Hello, Camz! Did you hear me?"

"Yeah Lo, I'm just thinking." Taking a deep breath she states, "It's hard I understand that it's scary. Especially when there's a possibility that she could just like you as a friend but I mean come on Lo, have you seen you?" She says pausing to take another bite of whatever she's eating and with her mouth full she says, "You're absolutely gorgeous and she would be so lucky to fall in love with a girl like you." She finishes eating and goes on to compliment me. I'm blushing so hard. "You're so loyal, lovable, caring, and protective. She will fall if she hasn't already but come on who could resist those emerald eyes."

"Thanks you sure know how to put a smile on my face. You're too sweet you know."

"Yeah, you know, only cause I sort of love you."

"Oh only sort of huh?" I giggle.

"Yep only sort of," she says taking another bite of what she's eating.

"Yeah yeah, love you too."

"But seriously though Lo. Don't worry so much just try to go with the flow a bit. You guys are married you'll end up coming together at some point. And don't forget I'm always here for you if you need anything, especially when you need someone to remind you of how amazing you are."
