I was fast asleep until a ding sounded through my phone. I tried to grab my phone sleepily. I received a text. It was from Connor.
Hey! Can we talk?
-ConnorI couldn't do this. I just wasn't ready. I can't talk to him after what he's done. The nerve of this guy! He thinks that I'll be all happy and forgiving the following day after he just ruined my relationship with two people I really care about.
Instead, I texted Peter. I know it's very hypocritical of me to think that he'll forgive me since I probably broke his heart after yesterday's incident, but it's still worth a shot.
Hi! I know you probably hate my guts right now, but I want to talk. I feel awful for what happened. I admit I am to be blamed partly. I want to explain and go over what really happened. Please.
-Zoe ❤️I sucked in a breath and sent it. I don't expect a reply soon, so I decided to try and distract myself from all this. I put on a sweatshirt and some leggings on and head downstairs for breakfast.
I made myself some oatmeal with fruits and a glass of milk to go with it. As I was miserably eating my boring meal, the twins came running down with huge smiles on their faces.
I eyed the two of them wondering what they were up to.
"So...we heard about the bad news." Zach said.
"Yeah. The one where you kissed Connor and Peter caught you." Zayn said earning an elbow from Zach.
"Well, I guess everybody knows now." I shrugged.
"We want to cheer you up." Zayn grinned.
"By taking you to the beach and playing beach volley." Zach further explained this plan.
"Really?" I said with a much cheerful tone.
"No, we just want to make our sister feel more bad today so that she can sulk in her room." Zach replies with sarcasm. A lot of sarcasm.
I smiled at my brothers and hugged them before I dashed up to pack my beach things.
I packed sun screen, sun glasses, beach towels, and other beach stuff in my bag. I got dressed and tied my hair into a ponytail. It took me about half and hour to get ready. I took one last glance at the mirror and checked my phone for a reply, but, like as expected, there was none.
The boys were already in the car packing the cooler, food, and mats we were bringing. I got at the backseat and dumped by bag beside me. Zach started the car when I suddenly remembered.
"Did you guys tell Dad about this?" I wondered.
"Oh...uh..we forgot about that part." Zayn said scratching his head.
"That umm...didn't cross my mind." Zach used as a horrible excuse.
"Amazing, guys," note my sarcasm, "I'll text him."
We were near the express way when I received Dad's reply. He was fine with it as long as. I stick to my brothers. Which was okay with me.
We three jammed to radio music. Played never have I ever and ate a bag of Doritos. This trip actually put a smile on my face since we always did this when we were younger; before the twins moved away for university.
I fell asleep after belting out to Adele's Hello. I felt someone poke my cheek which made me swat it.
"We're here Zoebear." I hear Zayn excitedly announce.
Zach was already at the back unloading the things we packed. I stretched out my arms and decided to help the boys.
It was probably the most perfect day to go out to the beach. It wasn't too hot or too cold. There wasn't a bunch of people swarming the ocean as well.
We found a good spot to leave our things near the water which at the same time wouldn't wet them. We immediately jump into the sea and just savor the salt water. It's been quite a while since the three of us went out to a beach road trip.
We splashed water at each other an even built the world's ugliest sand castle. After, we dried ourselves and decided to play beach volleyball. It was sort of a problem since we were unequal.
"Zoe VS The Twins." Zayn says.
"Yeah, you're good at volleyball anyway." Zach backs up his brother.
"That's unfair! You guys will still win." I complain.
We go on about thins for a few more minutes until a cute tall guy with sandy blonde hair approaches us.
"Um...I overheard your conversation and I was wondering if I could join your game?" He asked with an Aussie accent. He had washboard abs and definitely looked like a surfer.
"Sure! You can be my teammate." I said trying hard not to stare.
I could hear my brothers making fun of me, but I don't care.
"No. He'll be teammates with me and you'll be with Zayn." Zach says with that signature smirk.
"Why?" I scoffed.
"You're good at volleyball. I bet this guy is good too. So, just equalizing the teams." Zach replied.
"Fine," I turn to the Aussie guy and say, "I'm sorry but you're in the losers' team."
"Actually, I think you're the one in the losers' team." He counters.
"What's your name? I didn't quite catch it." I reply looking at him intently.
"Ian. Yours?" He smiles back with a little hint I smirk-iness.
"Zoe. Get ready to lose, Ian." I back away with the volleyball in my hands.
I step back a bit more and get into position. I take a deep breath and serve. Zach stops the ball from falling and Ian hits it over net back to our base. Zayn does exactly what his brother did and I get ready to spike. I hit the ball with all my might which makes us score.
I high-fived Zayn and we both get a bit too cocky and they too scored. The game went on for about an hour and a half. When we all got tired, we invited Ian to our little beach mat to grab a drink. We were all sitting and sipping sodas and juices. We chatted a bit with Ian, but he eventually had to go since he said he had to unpack his things inside his new flat.
At five o'clock the boys and I head home. We stopped at the Mc Donald's drive through for some fries and Big Macs for dinner. I ordered one for Dad too just incase.
When we got home, I was really tired. I plopped down my bed and stared at the ceiling. It was a good day today. I shut my eyes to rest and didn't even notice the text notification on my phone.
A/N: Haiiii!!! I'm back. I know it's been months since I've updated. So...what do you think of Ian?? If you loved him, well...you'll see more of him, but if you don't, too bad :P Thank you for supporting my story. Love ya'
P.S. I edited this chapter. It's a republished chapter
