Prep for the "Date"

Izuku finally gets home at 2 in the morning exhausted as he became Mei's guinea pig for all her new babies, as he closes the door he makes sure to tip-toe through the house, he had told his mother what happened and instead of trying to help him she oh so graciously replied with "HAH GET REKT LOSER" 

He wasn't entirely sure whether it was her or not. He chalked it up to her wanting to seem "cool and hip" only to make him cringe and put the phone somewhere safe in case of an explosion, which surprisingly didn't happen. Finally getting in his room he checked his phone only to see a message from an unknown number 

Turns out even when they agreed to hang out, they forgot to exchange numbers, thankfully Uraraka gave his number to Saiko. She basically asked when to meet up so he decided Sunday since he needed a breather and wanted to hang out with his mother tomorrow… or well technically today he supposed. She agreed and they also set it up for the morning, he forgot about her calling it a date and fell asleep before seeing the drifted off to sleep.

In the morning we walked out later than usual, opting to skip out on his morning workout. As he came out he smelled breakfast and heard his mother in the kitchen. "Good morning mom." Instead of a reply he heard her bolt out the kitchen and opened his eyes to see hers with stars in them "So what time is your date today??? Do you have decent clothes? Are you sure-" "Mom its not a date, Katsuki was just being an a-... An annoying jokester. But we aren't hanging out today, its tomorrow in the morning, I needed rest today after MeiMei holding me captive. Plus I wanted to hang out with you!"

Inko smiles sweetly before it turns into a shit eating grin "Well as much as I Appreciate it were gonna go shopping to get you some nice clothes for your 'Not date' with that cute girl that asked you out yesterday, oh I almost forgot I need to make extra spicy katsudon for katsuki as a thank you hehe." Izuku only groaned knowing he was gonna be stuck getting clothes for a friendly hangout. He ate his food and then headed to his room to change into his 'T-shirt' T-shirt and some shorts before coming out to shop with his mother.

As they went shopping his mother kept bringing him around to shop, he wasn't paying all too much attention cause she kept on trying to find nice clothes for a date that wasn't happening, especially with a classmate he has known for only a week or so. He decided to start looking around to buy for his mother, he has some yen to spare thanks to his little hobby. For the past few years Izuku started using his flames to make glass figures and pane paint to make some extra yen especially since some of the things he makes requires precise temperatures and extreme focus, it helps him both make money and improve both concentration and control over his quirk. 

These sculptures got famous thanks to a specific blonde menace posting one Izuku made of Gang Orca with it blowing up to the point some pros like Uwabami, Wash, and even Hawks making offers of some made for them, with Uwabami asking for a life sized one cause she had to be over the top… As Izuku thought this he thought of making one for his mother, maybe one depicting him 'saving her' in his Allmight onesie, something he did often as a kid, even if his quirk was more like the bastard endeavors.

With that in mind he kept with his mom, enjoying their time together excluding her trying to ask about Saiko and what he planned to do on the not date she kept insisting was so. He enjoyed it cause when he was busy training he didn't see her much, especially with her working so hard. Something she isn't doing anymore thanks to Izuku's glass making gig. Finally stopping to eat Izuku and Inko stopped at a pretty well known restaurant courtesy of Izuku of course. And of course what he didn't tell his mother is that this spot makes some really good katsudon, none that can rival hers but it certainly was second best.

When they sat down and Inko looked at the menu she giggled before looking at Izuku, knowing now why he suggested eating here. "Oh izu honey I love that you brought us here just for your katsudon fix, it's quite adorable." Izuku only chuckled lightly as he waited for the waiter to order, he of course ordered pork katsudon with inko ordering Unagi over rice (ik people who like just a shit ton of unagi solo instead of anything with it so just wanted to specify). 

When the food came Izuku offered a bit of his pork for some Unagi, which inko chuckled and obliged, they both enjoyed the meals as the katsudon was only second to his mothers, and the Unagi was cooked to perfection, and when paired with the rice and a little bit of soy made an excellent pairing. After eating Izuku covered the bill and they started heading home, that was until Inko saw someone and practically strangled Izuku by grabbing his neck and pulling him into cover. Izuku, coughing, looked at his mother and asked what happened with his eyes before seeing the anger in hers, of course not pointed at him but at who? He looked up to see….
