[RESUMING BRYCE HANSEN POV]

I open my eyes in the room, the waiting room.

Upon closing my eyes again, I found myself back stuck in a memory. Actually, i'm not sure if it is a memory, or just my imagination going f#cking wild. The memory is from when I was around six. I was with Stella, and and we were at the pool. She took my hand and lead me to the pool. It was fine. It felt safe, a little off though.

I dipped my foot in the water, and it was cold. The coldness ran up my leg and up over my hip and my hands- I shook my hands to get the coldness out of me, but it wouldn't go away. The coldness reached my brain. It felt horrible and Stella had to pull me out of the water, asking what was wrong about 15 times I guess.

I had asked her what she thought was wrong. The water was freezing.

She said she had no idea. The pool supposed to be safe today. She said that it was supposed to be safe today. She said the pool was supposed to be safe today, so I believed her.. and I shouldn't have believed her.

I went into the water again and my whole body froze.. and it hurt me very badly, my heart ached and I doubled over in pain, in the water, head under the water, my eyes burned from the chlorine.

She pulled me out. She told me it was OK and then I was pulled away from HER by a lifeguard, and when I open my eyes, I wasn't in the waiting room anymore.. I was in some sort of big field?

The grass was bright green, and the sky was an odd shade of blue. The sun was blinding. This place is reminding me way too much of The Plane.

I rub my eyes and make sure this isn't just another memory, but it persists. Oh.. oh great...

What are- where are we? What are we even here for now? I turn to Scenty and ask, "What the f#ck is going on?"

She responds to me with a shrug, saying, "I just.. typed in the code on the radio that was.. given to us over the phone.."

"What else did they tell you over the phone?" I ask her, confused about what she meant.

She responds with another shrug and saying, "The... person on the phone told me that they had to... save this world from the virus and... there are... like... two creatures to be hunted and... killed... and... um..." She rubs her head, her hand shaking a little, "Uh... the person on the phone also said that... um... this world is a... unique one, not being entirely based in reality... or something...?"

Confused by what she meant, I stepped forward and saw what she meant for myself. My foot then slipped through the ground- no, noclipped through the ground. What was even going on?

The sky got a little brighter as this huge triangle with a tail fell from it. It was moving around and tapped on- and tapped on the grass, dragging up a file. The triangle with a tail then flew away, and then Scenty stepped closer to the file.

She opened it, and suddenly it came to life. What the f#ck?! It looked like folder?

"Hello, greetings, how can I help you?" It waved. How odd...

Wondering if it will actually answer any of my questions, I asked it one, "Hey, where are the sea creatures?" It responded by disappearing .. Oh, oh OK, bye.
