Aaron was the first to wake up. And quite frankly, when he woke up to the sun light peeking through the curtains, he was a bit surprised. It had been ages since he'd slept until the sun was beginning to come up.

He noticed quickly that the barrier between him and Emily had long been broken, with her arm stretched across the pillow, resting across his chest, and her body pressed against the side of his own. He felt her leg crossing over his under the covers, as well.

Yeah, this definitely crossed the line of professionalism.

He laid there, surprisingly comfortable with her by him, and listened to her soft breathing as he stared up at the ceiling. He thought about the team again, and what they were doing right at that moment.

Since they had the day off, he could imagine what each of them was doing. Reid would wake up early,  make himself a kettle of tea, and then spend his morning reading Russian literature. Him and Garcia would probably later engage in some type of activity together, like going to the movies, or playing video games together. Maybe Morgan would join them, if he wasn't buy with a workout or visiting his family in Chicago. JJ would spend the day with Henry and will, probably go to a park, or just stay home and cook for them. And as for Rossi, maybe he'd write another new chapter of his book, or have lunch with a few friends at some fancy, Italian place.

And here he was, laying in bed with Emily, across the country. He looked beside him at her again, then let out a soft sigh. He carefully lifted up her arm so he could sneak out of bed quietly, as not to wake her up.

Aaron went downstairs after taking a few minutes to wash his face and brush his teeth, then another few to throw on a black sweater and jeans.

Once he was downstairs, he was greeted by a cheerful Anna in the kitchen. "Good morning, Aaron," she said. "How'd you sleep?"

He smiled softly, "Good. Really good. It's a comfortable room," he said.

She nodded. "Do you want some coffee? James just put a fresh pot on."

"Yes, that'd be nice, thanks," he said. He then began pouring his coffee as he felt her eyes on him. There was something he felt she wanted to say. "Emily's not up yet," he said when he still felt her eyes on him.

"Oh, okay. . . Um, Aaron, you know Elizabeth, don't you? You've met her before?" she asked nervously, picking at her nails, thinking he wouldn't notice.

"Yes, I've met her before," he said. That was partly true. He'd worked security for her as one of his first positions in his career, but after he left, he hadn't seen her since she came into the BAU, asking help for her friends from Russia. "Why?" he asked, taking a sip of his black coffee.

"Well, she actually caught a flight yesterday and flew in late last night. You two had already gone up to bed, so I figured you would both just see her in the morning, but now I'm starting to think that I should have told Emily. . ."

"Why?" He asked, staring at the woman. He always sensed that Emily and her mother didn't get along the best, but he didn't think that it was that bad.

"Well," Anna began, lowering her voice, "I don't know if Emily and her mom are on the best terms since what happened last year."

Aaron furrowed his brows. He hadn't heard of this yet. He cleared his throat, "What happened?" He asked.

She looked at him like he was an alien from outer space. "She didn't tell you?"

"Uh, no, we've only been together for eight months," he said calmly.

"Oh. . ." She hesitated, debating whether or not she should tell him. Finally, deciding that Aaron was the right person to tell, she continued. "Well, my aunt and Emily hadn't been on the best terms since my uncle Steve died, which was back in November. So, the funeral was held out in Spain the next weekend, and we decided to fly out together," Anna explained.
