Time has passed since you last saw Jungkook or spoke to him, and after three months of his absence the apartment feels like a vast emptiness. You can feel it in the air; an unfamiliar loneliness that was so far removed from your life with him. With each passing day, you find yourself wondering more and more about what he's been up to and wonder if he's been thinking about you too.

You invited jessica to stay with you for a couple weeks but she's already packing her stuff to head back to her place.

"Can't you just stay one more day?" You asked her as she folded the last of her clothes.

Jessica shook her head and gave you a smile. "I wish I could, but your girl has to go and see her man" She said, teasing you.

You broke into a giggle as you layed on your bed, your fingers playing with the strings of her headphones. "You know I wish i could come with you but Jin could call me anytime"

"By the way, when's the last time he called you for a gig?" Jessica asked, her face suddenly turning serious.

You frowned and sat up on your bed. You haven't really heard from your agency lately, although you've been doing really great on your last few jobs.

"Not too long ago, but i'm sure he has something coming up for me" You said, trying to sound hopeful.

Jessica nodded and gave you a small, encouraging smile before continuing to pack. "I'm sure you'll get a call back soon enough, it's not like money is an issue for you."

Jessica picks up her mini pink suitcase and slips on her shoes, slowly walking towards the door while she stares at her phone. She pauses for a moment before turning to look at you, her gaze a bit hesitant.

"Yah! my taxi's already here" she shouts, a small smile on her face before turning around and walking away.

You were taken aback by her announcement, quickly pulling on your slippers and raising your voice in response: "Already?" You hastily followed her out of the apartment, looking around in confusion.

Jessica didn't look back at you as her fingers trembled, repeatedly clicking on the elevator button. You knew she didn't want to go either, yet she had no choice. But in that moment, there was something between you both - a silent understanding.

"Jess, text me sometime hm?" you whisper, leaning your head on the door-frame as you watch the elevator close.

The doors slide shut, and Jessica finally turns around in one last glance. A tiny smile appearing on her face before she disappears.

You stood there for a moment, taking in your surroundings in a daze. Your mind was flooded with a flurry of thoughts and emotions that you had not the courage to confront. You had never admitted it to yourself before, but being alone made you feel so vulnerable.

You pause for a few seconds, staring at the elevator with anticipation, before finally pushing open the door and heading back to your apartment.

The shrill sound of the ascending elevator fills you with excitement. You find yourself eagerly peering at the elevator, eager to catch a glimpse of what awaits you. As it rises ever upwards, your heart flutters with the thrill of whatever is on its way.
