You adjusted the sequined skirt, the fabric catching the light and shimmering with every movement. The white top hugged your frame perfectly, and you slicked your hair back, letting the glittery makeup highlight your features. You felt ready for the night, a mix of excitement and nostalgia swirling in your stomach.

The living room buzzed with energy as your friends arrived. Laughter and chatter filled the air, blending with the faint notes of music in the background. You and Jungkook had transformed the space into a lively party scene. The dining table overflowed with an impressive selection of alcohol, bottles lined up like soldiers ready for battle.

The food, originally planned for a sit-down dinner, ended up as a buffet sprawled across various tables in the kitchen and living room. You had arranged everything perfectly: colorful platters of sushi, vibrant salads, and an assortment of finger foods that catered to everyone's tastes. The atmosphere pulsed with warmth and joy, the kind that only good friends and a little bit of mischief could create.

You glanced over your shoulder, catching sight of Jungkook just behind you. He held a champagne glass, the bubbly liquid catching the light as he threw his head back, laughing at one of Tae's jokes. The sound wrapped around you like a warm blanket. He looked effortlessly charming in the gray polo you picked out last week, paired with those black jeans that hugged him just right. His muscles had filled out even more, and you felt a rush of pride as you admired him, lost in the moment.

"Y/N! You've outdone yourself!" Jimin called from across the room, his eyes wide as he surveyed the spread.

You beamed at him, the compliments fueling your enthusiasm.

"Let's get this party started!" Namjoon announced, grabbing the karaoke mic. Jungkook jumped to join him, and together, they launched into a duets song—or at least, that was the plan.

As the music blared, Namjoon's deep voice boomed, resonating through the room. But instead of harmony, Jungkook's voice cracked, and he devolved into a fit of giggles. Namjoon, undeterred, continued to belt out the lyrics with his eyes closed, completely absorbed in the music.

You and the girls exchanged amused glances, covering your mouths to muffle your laughter. Jimin, ever the gentleman, tried to maintain a straight face, but Tae and Suga couldn't contain themselves, bursting into howls of laughter.

"Oh my God, he's terrible!" you whispered to Jessica and Yunjin, bending over with laughter.

But Namjoon was in his own world, feeding off the energy of Jay, Sunoo, and Jungwon, who cheered and clapped along wildly. Their enthusiasm only encouraged him to sing louder, completely oblivious to the chaos he was creating.

On the other hand, Jungkook had given up altogether. He sat on the floor, clutching his stomach, tears streaming down his face as he howled with laughter at Namjoon's impassioned performance.

"I can't breathe!" he gasped between laughs, looking up at you with adoring eyes, as if you were the cause of his uncontrollable joy.

"I think," Taehyung yelled over the noise, "we found out who our karaoke king is!"

"And who can't sing to save his life," yoongi added.

The party was in full swing, and you felt a buzz in your veins as you watched your friends let loose. The alcohol flowed freely, and the room was filled with a mix of music, laughter, and the clinking of glasses.

"This," Jungkook said, pulling you closer as you sat beside him on the couch, "is the best."

You smiled at him, feeling a warmth spread through your chest. This was what you had envisioned when you planned this night—a celebration of your decision to move to Paris together, surrounded by the people who meant the most to you.
