Chapter 12: John's Nightmare

John was very eager to see and be with Sophia since he fell in love with her the first time, he saw her on the plane. Regarding his date with Sophia, John kept it a secret and did not mention it to anyone. He went to his room that evening to spend time with Sophia after leaving his companions, who were playing poker in the hotel lobby.

In preparation for her visit to John, Sophia, who had arrived at the hotel that evening, had booked a room next to Charles's. She had delicate makeup on her face and was wearing a really lovely thin dress that allowed the rest of her gorgeous body to be clearly visible through the lace. At this point, she was stunning. She went to John's room and lightly knocked on his door.

John, who was patiently waiting for her, heard the knock and quickly opened the door and Sophia entered. Two glasses of red wine in addition to some foods were set on the table by John. He hugged and kissed Sophia after noticing her wearing that lovely silk dress. Sofia then filled her glass with wine and walked to the open window where she stood. She smiled and looked at John as she leaned against the wall while sipping wine.

John filled his glass and then went to her and stood by the window. John looked out the window and then turned to Sophia saying, "It's too hot outside, shouldn't we close the window and use the cold air of the air conditioner?"

Sophia replied, "You're right, it's hot, but when you look at the beauty of the garden, memories of the past flash before your eyes and you don't want to ignore it, do you?" while laughing heartily.

After saying this, she held her glass of wine looked into his eyes, and said, "To the health of my dear husband who was brutally killed by a handful of savage soldiers in Afghanistan."

Sophia utters these sentences angrily. John suddenly saw in Sophia's eyes the Afghan mountains and some soldiers shooting at a large snake among the snow-covered rocks. He was among the soldiers who yelled, "Attack him, don't let him get away." He also saw his friends Charles, Mark, Albert, and two of his German friends all shooting at the snake. At this time, Sophia suddenly turned into a big black snake and attacked him.

John started to scream for help since he was so shocked and couldn't believe what he was seeing. His frightened scream could be heard echoing through the hotel hallway. His buddies, who were in the elevator at the time, even heard the scream, "Snake, snake, help me."

At this time, the elevator door opened and they hurriedly entered the corridor of the hotel. The guests of the other rooms had panicked and ran out of their rooms and gathered in the corridor after hearing the scream. Charles saw John's room was open but John was not in the corridor.

He quickly ran to John's room and entered it. He saw John lying on the floor bleeding in his neck. Two broken glasses were on the floor, and a wine bottle was on the table. The window of the room was open, and the warm wind was blowing the curtains.

His friends who had just entered the room were shocked upon seeing the situation. They were unaware of what had happened to their engineer friend.

A few moments later, the hotel manager entered the room with some staff. Upon seeing John's body in the middle of the room, the hotel manager cautiously went towards him put his finger on his neck, and after a few moments sadly pronounced him dead.
