The guests downstairs heard her screams and ran upstairs to see what it was all about. Charles thought that Laura could be attacked by the snake when he heard her scream for help.
Other people ran up the stairs while Charles made his way to the back door. As the door was closed, he called Laura to stay away from the snake. He took a few steps back and smashed the door open with his body. Once inside, Charles saw a black snake ready to strike Laura who quickly went behind him. Charles took the metal handle from Laura and used it to throw the snake out of the window, but the snake resisted.
Instead, the snake attacked Charles several times to scare him out of the way so it could escape. Although it had the opportunity to bite Charles several times, this did not happen.
The guests at the party screamed in terror and ran out of the apartment leaving Charles and Laura behind.
When the police came, they asked all the residents to leave the premises.
Charles was still struggling with the snake as he tried to fling it out of the window. He sensed that it was very familiar to him. He had seen that look and those charming eyes before, but where? He could not remember anything. It felt strange. At this moment, he saw a teardrop in the corner of his eye. The snake stopped attacking him and stood on its tail watching him.
The terrified Laura, who was behind Charles noticed that the snake would not hurt him, she screamed to him, "Don't let it escape, throw it out the window."
Charles did not know what to do. He was waiting for the snake's reaction. And in a moment, the snake sprang towards Charles but it was thrown out of the window when Charles hit it with the metal handle. When the snake was outside the window it tried to cling to the metal handle. When it was finally dislodged, Charles checked where the snake was. But he saw the snake hanging from a pole that protruded from the neighboring wall below.
At this time, Laura, who was at the window, used a rod to hurl the snake that fell on the street pavement while staring into Charles's eyes. Everyone was running away from the street in terror.
Passersby saw the lifeless body of a young and beautiful woman on the sidewalk under the moonlight, who fell from the tenth floor of the building. There was a deep wound on the woman's arm.
The police fenced the area with yellow tape and did not allow anyone to approach the body. A detective was standing next to the body with the doctor and looked at the woman with pity.
Charles had a strange and heartbreaking feeling seeing Sophia lying on the street pavement. He was holding her arm and looking at the wound. He now remembered that pleading looks very well. A look that was a combination of love and fear.
Charles took the tiny ring box from his pocket and placed it by Sophia's side. If it weren't for Sophia's rage, the ring would have been on her finger, and this time she could start a new life with people.
At this point, the detective approached and handed Charles the envelope containing Sophia's DNA test results from the lab. Without looking into it, Charles folded the envelope and tucked it in his pocket. In shock and dread, Laura took Charles' arm.
A few weeks later, while Laura and Charles stood on the deck of a passenger ship watching the setting sun, Charles took the closed envelope and flung it into the sea.
