Ivan wheezed as he held his stomach to catch his breathe. "Dude, that was fun. We should do it more often"
"Really, bubba? Machiavelli?!" Julian giggled.
"I haven't even read any of his books. Shit, I haven't even seen any of them" Ivan chuckled.
"And there you were, sounding like an obsessive fan who had gone crazy over his death. Pfft"
"I know I deserve an Oscar" Ivan made a proud face, fanning his hands in the air.
"Ewwww. Bleh" Julian scrunged his nose up.
Ivan's phone interrupted their conversation and Julian couldn't help the frown forming on his face. "Johann?" He asked, gazing down at Ivan's screen.
Ivan nodded his head and answered the call, immediately putting it to his ear. "Hey Barry"
"Hey" Johann spoke on the other side.
"Wassup?"
"Can we meet?"
Ivan raised his brows. "Where?"
"Come to the basketball court"
"Okay, see you then" Ivan hung up and looked up at Julian. He immediately felt bad for wanting to leave the boy alone. "Barry wants to meet up"
"Oh" Julian pursed his lips. "Go on, then" he forced a smile onto his face."I'll just go back to class or.. Y'know, hang around with Ryan" he shrugged.
Ivan smiled. "See ya', then" he ducked his head, bidding the other boy farewell, and Julian nodded. "See not to fall down on your face while I'm away"
Julian babbled in mockery and lifted a middle finger.
Ivan fake gasped. "Oh, wait. I got something for you too" he searched his pockets and took his hand back out, empty, but his middle finger lifted. He grinned from ear to ear.
"Fuck off, you mofo"
"You fuck off" Ivan snapped and Julian flicked his forehead.
"I'll get you later" Ivan pointed two of his fingers at the boy and turned his back, walking away.
"Yeah, I hope you step on some dog shit!" Julian tutted and Ivan turned his head to raise yet another middle finger at the boy.
Julian just ignored it and Ivan walked away, never turning back again.
He couldn't help the smile that tugged at his lips. The boy was just too fun to hang around. And he was already missing him.
