After dropping Saif off at school, I headed to the company for a meeting. Nam scolded me repeatedly, emphasizing that my partner would be one of the most important figures in the industry.

Why should I care about that person? Firstly, I had reservations about taking on this project due to my existing workload. I had been planning to take a break from TV series since it had taken nearly a year to complete the last one, making it difficult to accept numerous movie offers.

"Is Becky here?" A man inquired as I stood outside the conference room, about to enter. I quickly hid to avoid being noticed. "Let's wait another minute, and if she doesn't show up, we'll need to replace her."

With a sigh, I considered not entering the room at all when I saw Nam glaring at me. She gestured for me to come in, and I reluctantly complied.

I pushed the door open and was surprised to find several women inside. Who would be my leading lady in this project?

"Sorry, I was stuck in traffic," I offered a faint smile and took the last available seat.

"It's okay. Your partner is also running late," the director reassured me with a smile.

"Late?" I questioned, glancing at the other women. "Who are they, and what roles are they playing?"

"Sorry, I'm late. I got caught in traffic," we all turned to see Freen, who had just entered the room.

My eyes widened. What was she doing here?

The woman beside me graciously stood up and offered her seat to Freen. Freen smiled sweetly at me and exchanged pleasantries with the director and producer.

Non observed the situation and didn't seem thrilled. With a sigh, he requested that the meeting commence. I had a feeling he didn't know that Freen would be the other actress, or else he might not have accepted the role as a third party.

The series was an action-romance in which Freen portrayed the heir of a formidable mafia, while I played an ordinary girl. They kidnapped me under the mistaken belief that I was their rival heir, only to discover that they were searching for my twin sister, also played by me. Non's character was a bodyguard sent by Freen, who ended up falling for me.

"We'll have a grand fitting next month. That's all for now," the producer concluded before standing up.

Freen and I also rose from our seats to shake hands with them. We excused ourselves, and throughout the meeting, I maintained a smile.

I had never imagined that I would be in the same series as Freen. She was not only a renowned CEO and producer but also a talented actress.

"I'm delighted to have you in the series," I said to Freen as we stood together inside the elevator.

Freen blushed slightly and looked embarrassed, as if she had felt the same way yesterday. "I wasn't initially keen on accepting this offer, but when I heard I'd be acting alongside you, Miss Rebecca, I couldn't resist. It's an honor to share the screen with you." She chuckled.

I reached for Freen's hand and gently squeezed it, but as soon as the elevator doors opened, I let go. Non entered and cleared his throat as he pressed the button for the same floor we were heading to – the parking lot.

"Congratulations to both of you," Non said, and I nodded, but Freen remained silent. Non glanced at her but quickly averted his eyes when he realized she wasn't receptive to his words.

"Let's go, Bec," Freen held my hand as we exited the elevator, with Non following us.

I wanted to pull my hand away, but I suspected that Freen wanted to show Non that she had me, unlike him.

I turned to Freen, who walked with a stern expression. She was clearly angry, perhaps recalling everything Non had done in the past.

"Are you upset?" I asked as we got into the car. "Did I do something wrong?"

"How can you remain civil with him after everything he did, Becky? He nearly ruined you. Please don't tell me you've forgiven him already," she asked with frustration.

"No," I assured her. "I just want to avoid unnecessary conflict. That's not me, Freen. You know me. If I can prevent chaos, I will."

Freen sighed heavily and ran her fingers through her hair. "Fine," she conceded, then turned to me.

I tilted my head and smiled at her gently. "Don't be angry, babe. Aren't you excited that we'll be starring in the same series?"

"I'm thrilled, but Saint isn't," Freen sighed.

"I don't care about him. Let him stew in jealousy." I tugged on Freen's shirt, intending to steal a kiss, but she deepened it. "Not here, babe," I chuckled.

"You started it," Freen smiled and wiped the lipstick stain from my lips. "Let's go home."
