The next morning, I headed to the shoot for my upcoming movie with Non to film the pilot episode. Everyone was excited to see us again, but I felt a sense of shame and unease.

What if Non found out? What if Saint discovered the truth? What if everyone learned about my role as Freen's secret lover?

"Are you alright? You don't seem well," Non remarked, touching my forehead as if checking for a fever. He shook his head with concern. "What's wrong?"

"Nothing, just tired from all the photoshoots," I replied with a forced smile.

"Saint is leaving for the UK tomorrow, so you'll have some rest, as he doesn't want you to have any shoots without him," Non mentioned, sighing. "Can I ask you something?"

"Hm?" I turned towards him.

"Never mind," Non said, averting his gaze, and gestured for me to take a seat.

Throughout the day, I couldn't perform at my best because I was constantly nervous. My mind was filled with worries about my safety. What if my stalker decided to abduct me?

"I informed the director that you need a full health checkup tomorrow. Get some rest, Becky. I don't know what happened, but I hope you'll be okay soon," Nam told me, gently tousling my hair.

"Thanks for worrying, Nam. And I'm sorry for involving you in this mess," I said with a weak smile.

"Anyway, should I drive you home? You brought your car, but I don't know if you want me to take you," she offered.

"I'll drive home. I still have some errands to run," I replied, and she nodded.

After the shoot, I headed to the parking lot with a heavy heart. I hadn't been this nervous in a long time. Thankfully, I got into my car safely and drove off. But I didn't want to spend the night alone.

"Where are you?" I asked.

"At the new condo. Why?" Freen responded.

"Again? How many condos have you bought in the past few days?" I inquired, furrowing my brows.

"None of your business. Why did you call anyway?" Freen retorted. "Have you heard the news? Saint's leaving town tomorrow."

"Yeah, that's why I want to stay with you tonight," I replied.

"I can't see the connection, Becky," Freen said with a huff. "I'm not going with him, if that's what you're thinking."

"That's not it, idiot. I'm going to buy some drinks. Let's celebrate," I suggested. "Send me the location." I hung up the phone and made a quick stop at the nearest convenience store to buy some beers.

However, before I could enter my car, a group of people approached me and asked for a picture. I obliged since they were my fans, thanking them before finally getting into my car.

I reached Freen's condo and placed the beers on the table. I rolled my eyes when I saw her with a wide smile upon seeing the beers. She was wearing an oversized shirt and incredibly short shorts.

"Aren't you supposed to take him to the airport tomorrow?" I asked as I took a seat.

"Nope, his parents won't be around, so I won't bother," Freen replied, opening a beer and handing one to me. "The last time I took him to the airport, I ended up being late to meet you. I had to deal with his parents first, which is why I was delayed."

"So, you lied back then?" I teased, rolling my eyes. "You said your car had broken down and needed repairs. You liar." I took the beer from her hand, and she chuckled.

"Sorry about that, sweetie," Freen said as she pinched my nose. She then asked us to raise our glasses for a toast.

"Anyway, I have a question," I began before taking a sip of my beer. "If your marriage is just a facade, why is it such a big deal if both of you have other lovers?"

"That's an interesting question," Freen chuckled and set her beer aside. "Saint and I made a promise to each other that if we ever found other lovers, we should keep it a secret from one another. That way, our tongues wouldn't slip when talking to our parents. Then he cheated, and our parents found out. But it was with a guy, and he told my parents that I was the one cheating. Isn't that funny? Back then, I was starting to genuinely love him, and I was so disappointed when he did that to me."

"So, you really fell in love with him?" I inquired.

"Yes, because when everyone else turned their backs on me, he was there to help me. He became my confidant. But they were right, only time reveals a person's true nature," Freen replied with a chuckle. "Bottoms up!" She swiftly finished her beer in one gulp, while I watched in amazement.

So, she had genuinely fallen in love with Saint, but he cheated on her, and worse, he made it look like it was her fault, with him playing the understanding husband.

"Why do you always follow your parents' orders?" I asked again.

"I don't want to disappoint them," Freen said seriously. "I'm an adopted child, Becky. They've provided me with food, clothing, and shelter. I don't want to let them down by revealing what I've turned out to be."

"That you're gay?" I guessed. "Is that why you can't come out of the closet?"

Freen nodded. "Growing up with foster parents is tough. You have to exceed their expectations and be the perfect child. So, I tried my best to be the best, but to achieve that, I lost myself."

"I thought you had a wonderful childhood. I'm sorry," I said sympathetically.

"I didn't know who I was, Becky. Until you came along," Freen admitted, looking at me. "I told myself that if this kid saw something special in me and made me feel unique, I would fight for her."

"And what happened?" I asked.

"But I wasn't ready yet. I wasn't strong enough without my parents and Saint. That's why I had to keep you hidden," Freen confessed, gently tucking my hair behind my ear and caressing my cheek. "Wait for me until I can give you the world. Then you won't be a secret affair anymore."

I chuckled. "You're talking as if we're already lovers. Remember, I'm still mad at you for lying over and over again."

"What can I do to make it up to you?" Freen asked, tilting her head and looking at me gently. "Hmm?"

"Don't look at me like that, Freen," I rolled my eyes.

Freen effortlessly pulled me closer, placing me on her lap. I was amazed at how easily she could make me move at her will. She leaned back on the couch, looking deep into my eyes.

"Tell me what I need to do to win you back, Becky," she implored. "Aren't you going to answer?" Freen gently tugged at the back of my neck and kissed me softly before smiling.

"You're stealing kisses now, huh?" I scoffed, intending to return to my seat, but she pulled me closer again. "Freen!"

"I won't stop until you tell me, Becky," she declared, smirking as she kissed me once more.

I wiped my lips, and she pouted. I didn't know if she was offended, but she suddenly carried me into her bedroom and placed me on the bed.

I thought she was going to do something more, but she simply lay beside me and cuddled.

"If you're not ready, I'll wait for your answer. Once you make up your mind, please tell me. Or else, I'll plan on how to seduce you," Freen whispered, holding me tightly.
