In the bustling halls of Mingde University, two worlds were about to collide in a whirlwind of secrets, fame, and unexpected connections. F4, the university's legendary boy group, was about to cross paths with the enigmatic Elite 4, a girl group shr...
My heart raced as Jing approached, especially with Ophelia watching.
What was going through her mind? As we strolled out, the river by the hotel mirrored my inner turmoil, its calm surface belying the storm within.
"So, what's on your mind?" I asked, my tone chilly.
"Lei, when did you get so distant? This isn't the Lei I remember," Jing said, worry etched on her face.
"Don't you understand? You left me hanging, never even giving me an answer to my proposal," I replied, my voice tinged with bitterness.
"Lei, I was clueless back then. I didn't see your true worth, or maybe I was just plain careless. I won't make that same mistake again," Jing implored, her eyes sincere.
"What do you mean?" I asked, genuinely puzzled.
"I want you back, Lei. Let's give it another shot. I love you, Lei," Jing confessed, taking my hand in hers.
Ophelia's POV:
I watched from a distance, unable to tear my eyes away.
Lei, my Lei, had been through so much.
As I listened, Jing took his hand and spilled her feelings.
She had the audacity to propose to him. Over my dead body.
That was it. I couldn't stay on the sidelines any longer.
Third Person POV:
Ophelia didn't think twice.
She dashed toward Lei, determination radiating from her.
Swiftly, she separated their clasped hands and stood resolutely before him.
"How could you, Lei! If you even think about accepting her, I promise you, life will be a living nightmare!" Ophelia's voice reverberated, a mix of anger and hurt evident.
"Why should I listen to you?" Hua Za Lei smirked, his defiance mirroring hers.
"Because I love you, you stubborn fool!" Ophelia shouted, her own words surprising even herself.
In an impulsive move, she kicked off her heels, sending one hurtling toward Lei before she spun around and fled.
"Is it because of Her." Jing asked
"Yes and no. But I dont have time for explanation." Lei replied and ran.
Elaine, waiting in the car, saw Ophelia approaching and swiftly started the engine.
She pulled away from the scene, leaving Lei behind, bewildered.
Back at the Elite 4 house, Ophelia raced to her room.
The other three followed, concerned and curious about the commotion.
"What on earth happened, Ophelia?" Elaine asked, her voice tinged with worry.
Ophelia recounted the events, her words punctuated by frustrated sighs and bursts of emotion.
All three of her friends erupted into laughter, unable to contain their amusement.
