KITE'S SON IS MAKING LEAPS!
Kaito "Kite" Hayashi's youngest son is clearly set to follow in the basketball great's footsteps, starting with his captainship.

St Everfields Academy has kept a close watch on Kaede Hayashi since he transferred from rival high school King's Cross Saints when he was fourteen. Seeing his ability, it didn't take long for the prestigious private school to elevate him from benchwarmer to shooting guard the same year.

Entering the institution's Sixth Form, it only seemed right that in his last year he'd be assigned captain for his accomplishments over the years. The seventeen-year-old's predecessor only managed to get the St Everfields team to finals in the yearly national championship. We at Sports Weekly have high belief that Hayashi can take them one leap further and bring the cup home.

Keen to hear the opinions of his superiors, we asked coach of the team, Noah Copeland, who said:, "Everfields has been aware of his ability since his playing days at Saints and under our wing he's been able to grow even further. He's a lad who's growth I've always been proud of. The skills of his father have certainly not skipped him. This year is an important one for him but we're already blown away at the level of maturity he's shown in his time here on and off the court. His intelligence both regarding the sport and emotionally is certainty a rarity. He's certainly one of the uk's rising basketball stars."

Sports Weekly sources say the Dublin native has been drawing attention from big names at international level, including clubs in the UK and Europe, for a long time now. It appears that his eyes are set on following in his father's steps and entering the American courts at the allegedly turned down offers.

He has certainly come a long way and under the guidance of those around him, we believe he's on track to become another Hayashi that's a household name in the sporting world; like his grandmother, father and older brother. We, and many fans of the family, are keen to keep an eye on the youngest Hayashi's progress as the rest of the year unwinds.
