Episode 9: Spider on the Island

In the common area Douglas is on the phone, Leo approaches, He's trying to find someone to hang out with since all the other students have gone on a trip and the rest are off on the island.

Bree walks in "Oh, hey Bree. I ditched the field trip, so I could hang out with you guys. What should we do on our day off?" Leo says.

"Our day off? No, this is my day off and I already got it all planned out. I'm going to sit by the pool and read a book. I'd ask you to join me, but I live and work with my family, so I'm sick of all of you" Bree says.

Chase and Harper walks in "Hey guys, wanna hang out?" Leo ask "Sorry Leo, gotta make the most of my day off. I
already organized the weapons vault, alkalized the island's water system and we taught a cute little group of dolphins to wave hello!" Chase says excited.

"yey! he made my childhood dream come true" Harper hugs Chase, he smile "and you, don't wanna hang out?" Leo ask "I can't today is not my day off, Mr Davenport asked me to work overtime" Harper says.

"But weren't you with Chase this whole time?" Leo says "yeah "working"!" Harper says menacingly.

Adam walks in with a rock "Oh, hey, Adam" Leo says "No." Adam says "I didn't even ask you anything yet" Leo says "Oh, I'm sorry, Go ahead" Adam says.

"Thank you. Would you like to han..""No. Guys, check out this rock I found on shore. I had to dig it out from under a wooden box of old yellow coins and jewelry" Adam Interrupts Leo.

"Adam, this isn't a rock, It's a fossil,Let me see that" Chase says "No!" Adam says they tussle and Chase gets the rock, laying it on the console and scanning it.

"Can't it be a fossil?" Harper says "well eat your words cuz...This is a prehistoric sea spider! It went extinct millions of years ago!" Chase says "Way to go, Chase. You made my rock boring" Adam says and walks away.

"Oh this is pretty awesome! i mean It would be cooler if it wasn't a spider but " Harper says.

"I love spiders! You know, back in high school, they usedto call me 'Spider Legs!'" Leo says, everyone looks at him "And now I'm realizing that's a bad thing" Leo says.

"I thinks it's from the Cretaceous period" Douglas says "You're right, Douglas! It's from the Valanginian subdivision,I would have loved to have seen this spider while it was alive" Chase says "Oh not me!" Harper says pulling away a little.

"wait. Are you still afraid of spiders?" Chase asks "hey! Don't say that I'm afraid of spiders...I'm not a child! I have arachnophobia" Harper says, Chase frowns.

"Well, You know, before I got into bionics, I dabbled in biology. I was trying to use fossils to bring extinct species back to life" Douglas says "And that explains why there's still no Mrs. Douglas Davenport" Bree says.

"This specimen is almost perfectly preserved" Chase says "oh no!" Harper tells herself "You know, I was never able to crack it on my own, but maybe with your help, I can" Douglas says.

"I'm pretty sure you're not looking at me, but I am in" Leo says "no you're not, belive me" Harper says pulling Leo, looking at Chase and Douglas.

"Let's do this, Douglas" Chase says "Oh okay! nice joke guys!, that was a good one like "let's bring a fossilized venomous being back to life like what could go wrong huh!?" it was really funny but you can stop now" Harper laughs nervously.

"we're not kidding!" Douglas says "yes you are!" Harper says firmly "Harp I know you have arachnophobia but don't worry we won't let that spider near you, you're going to be fine" Chase says trying to calm her down.

"Don't talk to me like I'm a scared little girl, this isn't about me! are you listening to yourselves!? Or you guys never saw Jurassic park, and there it wasn't even a spider that started it all it was a small and harmless mosquito imagine what a huge nasty spider can do!?" Harper says scared.
