Days passed since the gift giving occurred, and the slight thought of the occurrence doesn't seem to help make Bakugou give a little leeway for his exhausted fellow."Let me rest for a little bit." She sounded her issue as she gasped for air yet the boy only spared her a brief gaze and took it back to stare at his wrist watch.
Time didn't passed that much. He clicked his tongue and glared at her.
"You're merely on it for about 15 minutes. How can you complain so much for that little amount of time you've spent?! Get back on it!" She flinched at his high notes and covered her ears.
Yuki didn't have so much of a choice, so, in the end, she got to perform her duties under the watch of her Spartan trainer. It was a very exhausting performance that she could feel her limbs crying for immediate medication which she shouldn't really listen to despite the terror of body pain she's been feeling.
She dropped the weights she kept on her hands and sat on her position for about a few more minutes, hoping to calm her body from its trembling and to possibly even her breathing.
It made her form relaxed entirely that it banished every traced of adrenaline she would require to catch the bottle Bakugou threw at her, thus failing to catch it in time. The accident led to a bump growing in the middle of her forehead, and to be honest, it was a quite nasty bump she gained. She glared at him with eyes still teary from the pain.
"What?" The perpetrator asked her in complete annoyance, totally not affected by her burning gaze at all, instead he had the gall to reciprocate it with a gaze lacking that of sympathy or guilt. This action of the male added intensified the anger that's been brooding in her chest.
Just think about it, your whole body's screaming at you about pain and exhaustion only to welcome another aching forehead bump like a freaking spiteful joke. Truly, nothing would suffice to calm her seething anger, yet she chose to breathe in and snap out of the madness whispering to her about the numerous chapter of revenge and karma. She wouldn't want to strain her mortal body anymore.
Fortunately, he didn't threw the thing at her with the best of his strength because if he did, she'd really go rampaging in the place, forgetting about patience and delicacy.
"Did the bump shook your head to insanity?" Bakugou decided to take her out of her own trance as he made another striking sentence to make her blood curl in irritation and indignation.
"Do you have to be impertinent each and every single damn time?" She snapped back loosening the smirk on Bakugou's face and replacing it with a massive scowl.
"Just get up, dumbass. You still had a lot to work on." After leaving his deciding words, he opted to return on his own business and chose to ignore her this time.
He wasn't showing it but he's clearly sulking. She chuckled at the change of reaction and with her motivation renewed decided to do her own work too.
The training went by as fast as the sun rose up. Now, Yuki is on headed to their classroom for their first subject. She was hoping to get to the place in peace yet her wish came crumbling down when unfortunately she just had to bump into a certain blonde approaching the direction she was coming from.
She winced in pain as she fell straight to the floor unable to prevent her fall. She glared at the blonde standing in front of her with a smug plastered on his face.
Her eye twitched as the figure slowly became too familiar to her as he approached and extended his hand, his stare clearly evident of arrogance and mockery.
It had to be freaking Monoma Neito.
"Oh my! Did Class A gained another pathetic snob on their list?! It can't be helped... want some help getting up there, Class A kid? Here I could offer you some mercy."
Obviously, Monoma was taunting her, he atleast had to do so when he knew she's part of the Class A. What's more irritating for him is not knowing how did that happen. She just popped out of nowhere and then, viola she was already one of them. It honestly, intrigues him too though.
She ignored his hand when she notice his malice and attempted to stand on her own but failed to do so when she felt her ankle popped. It had to be sprained at this freaking moment, her luck.
Yuki was not supposed to deal with him but when she remembered the way his interaction with Class A has always went through the screen, she stopped glaring at him and accepted his hand, even if she too were unsure of her decision, and offered him a small smile. His expression change into confusion along with it.
Now, she had that innocent glint in her irises as she stared back at him, she supposed he wasn't expecting her actions at all, and Yuki can see that from the way his jaw tensed presumably from shock and disconcert.
But Monoma immediately withrawed his hand due to a different reason, it was something more threatening but when he recovered he hurriedly disguised his reaction with a fake smirk on his face. "I-I might say you're nicer than you actually look." He swallowed when he noticed that he stuttered.
"Thanks, Class B kid." She decided to respond, and wear the smirk he once had in his face before dropping it a second after. "But I can't say the same to you, I guess?"
Sighing playfully, she step closer to pat his shoulder and stared at him with eyes lacking of the previous glint she once shown him instead, it was replace with a cold glare.
"Don't go topping my irritation scale with your inferiority complex, copycat. You don't want to be my enemy."
She clicked her tongue, actually she had liked Monoma's character before, but its different when you were the receiver of his taunts, so she made him taste his own medicine through bluffing. She chuckled at her own thoughts.
Now, feeling satisfied with how she dealt with him, she walked pass his stiff figure and continued heading her way towards her original destination and left, oblivious at the way the other person shuddered under her presence.
It was a terrifying experience. For him, it really is. Monoma was not able to come up with a retort when he felt her cold hand patting his shoulder. No, actually it was not her cold hands that were chilling, it was the way her atmosphere changed... The truth was he tried to copy her quirk through contact - that's why he offered her his hand in the first place, but he wasn't able to. Her quirk whatever it is, was like Midoriya's, it's blank, no - rather, he can't have a read of it.
Yes, he tried to do that despite her unawareness but what creeped him the most was the way her quirk seemed to ate at him. It was not likely the same but he did once felt it before, back at the battle with All for One. He shivered at the comparison and shook his head hoping to drown out the thought. And so, before succumbing entirely to the fear he wass feeling, he dragged his feet to his classroom where he was supposed to go to before his encounter with the mysterious girl.
Honestly, he was now wary of her despite knowing that AFO no longer exist.
