Chapter 24 | Hatred

"So, you saying that you like him... right?" Mina pursued Yaomomo with her intriguing questions to which the latter blushes to and slowly nodded at.

The girls around her including Yuki squealed in delight as they surrounded their friend even more, hoping to get deeper information on their friend's love life, and Yaoyorozu who was undeniably overwhelmed with their enthusiasm, let out more information than she was supposed to tell, well, she didn't have a choice.

She spoke.

"I... I don't know when did it start but I realized lately I was noticing him even more and I... he seems even more bright in my ey- no forget it, this is so embarrassing." Yaomomo trailed off when she realized how much detail she has been revealing

The girls continued squealing, not until Mina's sharp eyes brush incidentally on Yuki who was also currently rejoicing at the moment, unaware of the former's dark intentions.

"Let's give Yaomomo a breather everyone..." The girls were kinda disappointed by the turn of events and by her interference so bouts of disagreements were stated but fortunately, slowly they come to an understanding about their own limits and decided not to intrude. And thus, they were about to disperse when Mina continued her talk. "With that, why don't we move on to Yuki... like ask her about her current status with Bakugou? It would be as intriguing as it is with our previous subjects don't you think so everyone?" She stated like a professional program host while giving the wide eyed girl a perfectly teasing grin.

It seems to pick everyone's interest as they slowly turned their focus on her direction, some playfully moving their brows up and down while Yaomomo only shook her head in utter embarrassment.

"Us...Why?" Yuki asked flabbergasted why her name was spoke and more so involved with love talks, when she has never even been in a relationship before.

"We have nothing going on, though?...Just platonic friendship?" She continued clearly lost about their topic.

"Are you sure?" Mina wasn't going to let her go, not when she could see a passerby pretending not to slow down his pace when he heard his name alongside Yuki's.

Well, they weren't in the most hidden part of the school, they were inside their classroom gossiping since the boys were all out probably in the cafeteria or somewhere and coincidentally, Bakugou entered the room the perfect time she decided to ask Yuki, and is obviously waiting for her answer while pretending to look annoyed as he turns back around to go back to where the other boys are.

"Yes, besides I don't think he'd even like someone like me anyway." Yuki stated words phrased with pure sincerity.

He stiffened at her words.

Well, she thinks she's never a beauty and brain like Yaomomo, a cutie like Uraraka, a miss congeniality like Mina, or a brave one like Kyouka, and when compared to them, she felt so plain but she loves all of them so she never really thought bad of any of them due to jealousy or envy.

"But if he does like you... What are you gonna do?"

"Haha, that'd be impossible even to think of, but for instance if he did, I think I'd let the future me decide for that since my feelings would greatly affects that. It's not like I can accept his feelings if I don't feel anything for him right? Or reject him... if- anyways let's talk about you Mina. You keep pushing us as the topics, what about..."

Her answer's vague but that was enough for Bakugou to affirm something he certainly didn't want to acknowledge.

He's growing feelings for the girl and he doesn't really want that.

All those thoughts about her's becoming more clear to him. Why he thinks about her all the time? Why he does not complain about having her around aside from some pretentious annoyance and irritation. Why he turns red when she teases him... and why does he want to know what she thinks of him, more so about her answer to that question. All becomes clear to him, but no he's not going to give in to it, no matter what.
